Wipeout blood?

Just wondering what y'all think about the wipeout blood. I read a post where Bruce Conkey said he thought they were more accurate than any blood he's seen and I do like accurate and a dog that can handle a track with brains. I'm about to get a pup out of Wipeout Toby and was just wondering. Thanks for reading

What I have seen. Big hounds, a lot of track, thyroid problems are a huge problem in that blood line, slow starters they start about 13 months old. Some pups Never tree. I personally don't like that style of a hound.

Some open a lot on the ground .
If I were going to get a wipeout pup I would go to Parsley's Jake .

I will say this. I have been to alot of the $$$ hunts in the last 4-5 years and spectated and hunted with alot of different bloodlines hounds. I hunted walkers for about 15 years and switched probably because I hunted ukc and never hunted with some of the better wipeout hounds. I drew 7 walkers that impressed me. And hunted with alot of winners. Now if I was a walker man I would not leave home without some zeb again running through my hounds veins. Now that's just me. Now out of the 7 that were just coondawgs 5 of them were of of of grand pups to zeb again. What did I like about them. They had coons every single time you would pull them off the lumber. Some of those dogs were a different breed as they treed because they had to. They were just as happy trailing. That line works better in my area due to terrain and coon population. Think about it was the bloodline that shut rat attack down. Barry kiddy started that line and I am even thinking about implanting zeb again semen into my English female the man told me no but maybe since it was her.lol. People make the statement that they will all miss Berry said they never hunted with again. Yes he said he was scored on one tree the hole time he had him that was not plused. Now with every good thing there is a bad. Them things could fun a deer down catch and kill them. No lie.lol. Some of them did thyroid problems. There is no dought if they started having all major hunts Deep South leaves off mid dec- mid feb you would see this line used more often. You would stop seeing less post about to many dens and those accuracy post. Berry said it was his nose that made him so accurate. He was no bushwhacker. He treed coons often other hounds couldn't smell. I do think its funny that we start post about the line that's winning alot of the worlds hunts and almost all the trucks in the $$$ hunts and it seems alot if ukc people think you need a tree monster to win in it. But the fault on this line is they trail to much. Lol

i think he is a silent track dog so opening on track to much may be up to the female he gets breed to.

They work for me because they are track dogs and track dogs work down here in the swamps. I have a lot of friends that have other bloodlines and when we go to the hunts they beat me most of the time. Not rethinking my position, just trying to figure it out. lol I will have a wipeout hound on my leash.

I have three female pups here 4 months old that Zeb Again is their Grand Pa on both sides. One I have I have never heard bark. She is big and real hound looking and I am looking forward to starting her. I like them to bark on the ground but I know the potential one has that is tight and trees real coon. They can win a sack full of money and put the owner in a new truck. You can have first strike, I just want real live coon.

From day one I have been a person to want a coon in the tree and every top dog man that I have discussed wipeout dogs with said Zeb Again was the real deal at treeing real live coon. There were some negative things also said about him but he is a dog and they all have some of the dark side.

Honest opinion? It doesn't normally take me long to figure a dog out. I have drew some coon treeing whipeout dogs that were impressive and they are probably the winningest blood line out there. BUT they are mouthy not like barking every time they put their foot down but opening with nothing going on. A few times when they are cut then bark here and there until they hit a good track and tree it. The good ones always have their coon but started "cold trailing" it a mile from from where they treed it. That doesn't happen very often but it seems to happen for them every drop. So you tell me? I pleasure hunted with one that has won a lot and he started barking 50 yards from us. He opened every 50 to 100 yards but was going in a strait line on the garmin. at .7 on the garmin he started cutting back and forth opening more and treed. If you just listen to it he sounded like he worked a bad track in there and treed it. Not my style but they are definitely coon treeing dogs that are hard to beat.

We tend to put these dogs in different categories. The one thing I can't turn my back on is my hunting conditions. Wish they were better, wish they were easier and I wish a Treeing Dog that would run would work for me. Unfortunately a Track dog that Trees is what I need. The House blooded dogs worked well and still do. I like Drop Dead Fred dogs and have a nice tracking female from that bloodline.
The Wipeout dogs don't walk on water but the pups do several things I want in a pup.
1. They go hunting.
2. Even if they have a bad mouth it is generally loud.
3. They don't look to pack with other dogs.
4. When they tree they have a high percentage of the coon.

They make you scratch your head and rethink some things at times. But hunting a young dog wouldn't be fun if they didn't.

I have a young dog out of wipeout jake and at 5 months old he was split Treeing and having the coon. And he's been a coon treeing machine ever since. He's very accurate and very quick on the track

The older wipeout stuff did start treeing late, had good mouths, were really trashy, but some of these today start treeing earlier and aren't as trashy from what I've seen. Zeb 3 didn't throw barkers unless he was bred to one from what I've seen.

I hunt one, he is a grandson to Willie and Snug. Barks plenty but not bad, strikes honest, and never looked up till he was 18 months old, and than not again till he was 20 months old. Hunting a pup out of him now that started treeing the other night and he is 6 months old

Some folks might be reading this thinking I want some of this well let me warn you. If you have small patches of woods. Or are faint of the heart be careful. I had a crossbreed of hellbilly and a English female. Last time I cut I fired her down a river. Got her off a tree 4 hours later almost 4 miles down river. But plus her up.

Coondogs

Well from what I've read here I think I'll like the wipeout blood. To me a coondog is a dog that can drive a cold track as good as a hot track and have the meat. And with that they must have the brains. A lot of people think they have a hot nosed dog when it really don't have the brains to use its nose on a cold track. Jmo. Accuracy is what I look for the most cause here in WV where the coons are really thin u better have a dog that can work a bad track and have the meat. Just bought a 7 month old pup out of Toby tonight so hope he works out. Thanks for the info. And I'm liking everything u said Bruce. Thanks

some like to run, some are mouthy. whatever, there are good & bad.
Not every wipeout dog is the same just because they are bred alike.
they sure have done their fair share of winning they seem to have them coons when they park.

I know treed tv filmed a episode at the wipeout invitational hunt I believe in 2011. I can't pull it up but I wish someone would post it if they had it for some reason.
