If you had a choice, all things being the same what would your choice be in a pup- Super Stakes or Performance and why?

SS. Has a bigger following for people buying pups. Try and sale a 15 month old dog doing it right as a performance only then try selling it as a SS only pup. SS I about guarantee will bring more.

NOW NEITHER PROGRAM MAKES THE PUP OR DOG BETTER BUT SS WILL GET YOU MORE IF YOU DECIDE TO SALE FROM MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES

Both are a money racket for their individual KC.

I'm a small timer, local yokel. I've gotten a check from the PRP every year since the program started. I've never got the first dime from the SS. I always pay up both on every pup I keep.

Ask the question a different way. How many on here have gotten checks from the PRP verses how many have gotten money from the SS.

No doubt JiM more have gotten checks from Performance than SS. But that SS check just bigger. Some of your buddies have gotten quite a bit larger SS checks than performance checks.

Hunt what you like. No matter which check we get we all would have to get a million dollars to ever break even at this game. It definitely is not a wise investment on either side if you figure of cost of all involved to return on that dollar.

unless you are terrible rich and need to throw away money, ss is not the way go. If you will hunt the ss, you stand to make some money, but I'd bet that 90% of the dogs that are super staked never see a cast, which in turn makes 90 % the owners wasteful in their spending.

For me the ss is just not possible the time off , the expense , the distance although it would be fun but the ukc performance program if you keep winning it keeps paying and you can do it in your surrounding area !!

Just got a $7500 check from the ss in October. nothing guaranteed when u pay a pup up in anything but ill take it over a $200 performance check that wouldn't even pay your gas to run to the hunts. get you a pup from a coon dog to coon dog cross hunt it like one should be hunted and chances are your gonna get paid off the ss pup. do the same thing with the performance check and u still aint got nothin. Just turned down $25,000 for this lil ss pup. get that for a performance pup that won autumn oaks!!!

Olhoss always think this way when someone offers you that big check some will say that dog could die tomorrow , Ya it could and so could I , I say I am going to have to get up for work tomorrow no matter what I'd just assume have my dog and not be out looking for one spending it all back they're way to hard replace .
SS I get way more return on selling a SS pd up pup even just running and treeing .
They are all just Ponzi schemes and most if us are at the bottom of the pyramid .

mafia if the dog belong to me he would have been gone the minute the $$$$$ was offered but he belongs to someone else I'm just the guy who ran the roads to find him. put a summers worth of tick bites, rashes, and swet into him to get him were he needed to be. I'm just the one they call and say $20,000 hunt next month room and gas money on its way be ready and its my job to see that he is. yeah a good one is hard to find but $25,000 lick is too. kind of glad he didn't take it cause id be starting back from scratch with another one. I'm not gonna buy a dog under 4 yrs old that isn't ss. their just isn't any RETURN in it and some do it for fun cause they enjoy it but u do it like I do and after awhile come and tell me its fun. I do it to get paid and that's it I know id be better off going out and getting a job but looking at a ole plug dog 7 nights a week beats the hell out of listening to a boss in your neck 5 days a week to me.

minkler,epperson,and reed are 3 of the straightest gentleman in the business and a fine group to work for I believe if I called them up today and told them I needed something it would be here in 3 days. but if I told them I needed $2000 to buy a performance pup that wasn't ss they would tell me I was crazy!!! hahaha

Both those programs are the carrot you hang in from horse to make him go. Giddy Up!!

More people get a return on their money from the Performance Program than they do the SS. The amounts are just less as they are structured differently. Both Programs work.
There shouldn't be a choice to be made as both programs are available on most pups born and if you register the pups in a timely manner both are affordable.

Bruce I just spent $175 to pay up a pup under 6 mo in all programs it's not cheap and not afforable to everyone but dang sure more affordable than waiting till their a year old. But the bottom line is the $ ones are what will make her worth the cash if I sell her later on , the first questioned asked will be is she pd up .

I registered a litter and paid up two other pups in all three registries a couple weeks ago and I think it was around $500 with two DNA Profiles.
I think this board is becoming therapy because as I type this I see how crazy I am. lol

We are both crazy I have 4 more to pay up right now . And if we ever kept track if what we spent on registration and hunts in a year there's no telling what it would be . Shack won the mo state race with $2,500 and they mailed me a check for a little over $700 . Heck that gets spent in a weekend .
It's a scheme but we love it some people golf some fish it's just money they print more of it everyday .

Performance . I don't play the lottery but if I did I would always play the game with the best odds when I'm puttin my own $$ out. Yes the SS payday would be bigger, but the odds of actually getting something Is better with the Performance program. But since I don't have to choose I reckon I'll keep doing both.
