I was looking into a used one it had 120,000+. The cost was I think 12,000. Payments was 20.00 difference between the used & the new with no miles. Soooo. But I have always had ford trucks had a Toyota supra in my younger days that car ran 100,000 miles before I sold it. But it seems to do good in the snow although I will get some 8 ply for the gravel roads. Hey and the dogs like it to I think they tree better lol lol

I got one last yr. Was about my 5 or 6 one lol but dang these front mudflaps on these new uns ain't off the ground high enough. Drag on everything and don't bend like the old ones. So be careful. Im sure I'll have mine tore plum up before much longer.

yea they are stiff but road the mud a couple nights ago kept the truck pretty clean.

Resale value...

You guys are dead on about resale value and the price of these trucks being so high. I make my living from rebuilding wrecked cars and trucks. Let me tell you what I saw at the salvage sale regarding a Tundra I saw a couple of weeks ago.

At the sale was an extra clean '08 Tundra Double Cab Limited 4x4 with 256,000 miles. In it's defense, the truck looked like it had around 60,000 miles but the odometer doesn't lie. This truck was hit in the back, needed a replacement box, tailgate and the frame needed straightened. When the gavel fell, the truck brought $10,600. I couldn't believe the truck brought that much money. I'd have to get $20,000 for it to turn a profit after fixing it with the truck having a quarter million miles and a rebuilt title.

Yes, these Toyota's have an excellent resale value.

my 05 ford f150 didn't get very good gas milage they say the tundra is way worse on gas guy i know said he like the truck but only got around 9 1/2 miles per gal but i sure would like to get 1 but right now i will probly end up buying another ford ive always been a ford person plus you can buy them quite abit cheaper

I LIKE MY TOYOTA'S, BUT I HAVE ONE NOW WITH A V-6 AND IT GETS THE ABSOLUTE WORST GAS MILAGE I HAVE EVER SEEN. COULD BE DRIVING A ONE TON DUALLY AND DOIN BETTER IN THE FUEL DEPT. IT HAS 256,000 ON IT. CHANGED PLUGS AND WIRES, RUN ENOUGH INJECTOR CLEANER THROUGH IT AND CHANGED AIR FILTERS. WAS TOLD TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY AND THEN RECONNECT. NONE OF THIS HAS HELPED. MAYBE IT IS TIME TO LIFT THE RADIATOR CAP AND PUT A NEW TRUCK UNDER IT. ANY TOYOTA TRICKS AND TIPS WOULD BE GREAT. NICE NEW TRUCK BY THE WAY. <v>

I KNOW THE BIGGER TIRES DON'T HELP, BUT LIKE WHEN YOU START IT, IT SMELLS GASSY AND IDLES LIKE IT IS GETTING TO MUCH GAS. DOES SOME BETTER OUT ON THE ROAD, BUT CRUISING THESE BACK ROADS IT IS SINGLE DIGITS FOR MILEAGE. DON'T GET 200 MILES OUT OF A TANK OF GAS. I'LL SET THE TRIP METER AND FIND OUT FOR SURE, I'M GUESSING 10-12 MPG. THANKS FOR ANY HELP. <v>

I havent had many nissan, toyotas etc because I have to have a diesel to pull..........the smell of fuel at start up sounds like a clogged or dirty egr valve though? what model is that truck? i personally just run them under the cab instead of back through the filter. that truck should do way better as my old 4 door 7.3 4x4 gets 16 in town and 20-21 on the interstate.

also if your tires are bigger you will have to find the % that they are bigger and add that to your final mpg
