hey fellars,

Just wondering what kind of dog food u all feed? I see some dogs that look like pure muscle, and i know that has alot to do with simply hunting em but was wandering what u all feed em too? Thanx in advance for replies.

I switched from diamond and went to ultra advantage a couple years ago...I have been really impressed with the ultra

Diamond has had too many foo pahs, no way I would feed it. Where there is smoke there is fire.

I THINK IT DEPENDS A LITTLE ON THE INDIVIDUAL DOG..I have dogs That were easy keepers that done well on mediocre feed and some would take better quality and more of it...If you switch it may take a while to get accurate results..

Posted by sqman on 12-24-2013 06:23 PM:

Id say you are right. ive heard talk of the pro performance but i personally can not afford to feed it. The cheapest i can find is about thirty five to fifty dollars a bag at tractor supply.

Quality control is quality control. The last problems they had was mold in the bags. Didn't have anything to do with alfa toxin.

I just am not going to take a chance on them when my dogs can't tell me when something doesn't taste right.

I almost lost a dog this spring feeding Sportsmans Pride to I figured out it was the feed I took it back to the dealer. This was May. He called the distributer and they said yeah the factory said we had a problem back in March. Needles to say I was livid. Distributer knows they have a problem in March and knows bad feed is out there and they don't say a word. My dealer was all over himself trying to make it right and it wasn't his fault, he was calling people that was using the type that had issues soon as he was aware of it but he was caught in the middle.

Needless to say I never fed another drop of Sportsmans Pride either. I switched to Pride orange bag and to I have a problem with it that is what I'll stay with as long as the dogs stay healthy.

Purple/black $45-$50

The Purina Sport is a great feed, but at $52 for a 35lb bag is too high for me.
