Bright eyes lights

I've been thinkin about getting a new light in the future where the battery is on the helmet and I've been looking at the bright eyes lights in the f and t harvestor catalog, they worth the money and has anybody have anything bad to say about them

Very bright very rugged lights but from personal opinion I dont like the feeling of a cap light. Go with a belt light.

I have a light where the battery does go on my belt but its getting to be a hassle working around the cord to the light with the gun and leashes

I prefer a belt light myself but moonshiner lights carries a nice bright cap light

Ok. Like I said I'm just lookin around at different ones and the bright eyes caught my attention, I gotta work up to nicer gear, not the easiest on farm pay and i figure I'd ask people before I buy. Do they take long to charge up?

totally agree I had a blaster box light of theirs. Love the ruggedness of their lights just solid built lights to me

Are red or amber colored caps easy to find for them if I ever decide to get a colored lens cap for it

Posted by dumbdog1988 on 05-15-2013 03:29 AM:

theyre good lights ive had my box lite for 3 years with no issues.
Yes they have diff colored pop covers

Best light you buy in my opinion. I'll never go to the woods without one. I have seven and all are dependable and tough. Take of them and you'll get years and years of trouble free hunting out of them. Ray will stand firmly behind any light he sells, and if you do, in rare instance get a bad one, you have no worries about it being fixed. Ray is a great builder and top notch customer service man to boot.

Thanks for the input guys, Is there really any lights where the battery is on the cap tht I should shy away from due to poor quality and design

Posted by outlaw0411 on 05-17-2013 05:00 AM:

Anything from night light stay far far away from ! Everything they make is crap! Ive seen the laser torches in action and not saying they aren't dependable but they're not that bright the new one is just a hair brighter than my old moonshiner cap light i gave 160$ for

Posted by nybluetickboy on 05-17-2013 10:54 AM:

Ok thanks

I have allways owned BrightEyes lights and they have allways been the best..The 1 I don't like is the new 26 volt LED ! I bought 2 of them at Winter Classic and Both have quit, 1 the head went up in smoke and Theres a Fault in the battery, The other 1 the Toggle switch on the head quit which makes the head quit working. But with that said , I called and they said ship them to them and they will fix them. its just now I will be without a light and some of our big hunts are coming up..

As I have always said. I can't guarantee that a light won't break but I can guarantee I will be there if you need me. We will turn them around ASAP for you. Get them to me quick!

Ok thanks for the help guys, if I upgrade to one of these lights it sounds like it'll be good from the 12 volt belt worn battery light I have now

Posted by houndhunter08 on 05-25-2013 02:16 AM:

I have the 26 volt BRITEYES cap light and love it. It does take a little while to get use to because of the weight but once you get use to it you won't use a belt light again. It charges very quick, within an hour, maybe an hour and a half. My light came with a pop cover with a red, blue, amber and green lens. The last time I checked it also had the longest burn time of any light on the market.

Posted by nybluetickboy on 05-25-2013 06:19 AM:

How much do the non belt battery lights weigh?

Posted by Wayne Valentino on 05-25-2013 11:59 AM:

Call

Ray and talk to him... Or any of the other light makers you seem to like.. Saw so many awsome lights at Bluetick Days last week that I wouldn't know which one to pick, they were all great, Ray's included... Look for the features you want at a price you can afford.. then see what the makers reputation after the sale is.. Make phone calls...
