My cousin and I took two brothers once that where some good friends of ours. We got them all set up and ready and about two hours later they show up in the yard. We knew they had been crying and scared because we could hear them before they got there. They denied the crying part but we knew better. This was back in the late 80's and will never forget it.

Snipe is a small wading bird found in marshy areas. Michigan does not have a snipe season.

Actually have shot a few!!! Out duck hunting once these little round headed long billed birds were jumping out of the grass I was walking in to the duck blind. Duck hunting that day was lousy so I tried my marksmanship on the snipe. Kinda sporty too! They jump and fly like quail but are so small the pattern on that 12 gauge auto loader loaded with 3 in 2 shot had a hard time bringing one down. After a box and a half latter I killed one. I figured that little bird cost me about 35 dollars. And NO, they DON'T taste like chicken!

you can hunt em all year long around here and dont need a hunting licences.its a good way to get kids hooked on hunting instead of drugs.

I gotta toe sack and a stick. That's the best way to catch. You stand over yonder and hold the sack. I'll go over that way and drive em right to ya. They are dumb birds. You can drive them anywhere.

Our Conservation Officers would be happy to write a ticket for hunting for a non-game species. Of course they would be laughing the whole time while writing the ticket.

Yes, someone offered to take me when I was a kid, but I already knew better. I actually had the last laugh as they didn't believe there was such a thing.

Me and my ole hunting buddy, both in our 80s now and we really do enjoy taking each other. He will take me one night to hold the sack and the next day he tells every body about it and laughs, then in a night or 2 I take him and he holds the sack and it's my turn to tell about it and laugh. See, you can still enjoy snipe hunting even when you get old cause every hunt is a new one.

Just teasing

Mr. Doyce you must forget after a day or two how the ending goes at 80yo. Lol.
