...great, well run event............had a good turn out despite some evil weather Friday night...............we saw 7 coons Friday night and 5 on Saturday............only bad thing was we got a truck stuck AFTER the hunt ended Friday trying to get closer to Gr. Night Ch. Ga. State Peach for Rusty..........she had the meat..............got the truck out at 10am the next morning with a bulldozer.........
..congrats to all the show and hunt winners.........

Thank you one and all who came and helped make the Georgia State an overwhelming sucesss. Without you folks, it could not be possible. I have to admit, as Friday afternoon began to get closer to night, I was very very worried about what type tunout we would have for the hunt portion. That worry was eased some when we saw such a great turn out for our shows. The contestants brought in quality dogs, and Judge Jennifer Green did an outstanding job in picking the winners. As the show ended and hunt entries were taken, all worries about turnout was over, as you the hunters came in numbers. Those quickly turned to the weather, and yes indeed, it did get bad as the later hours came. Let's say i was glad i brought some dry clothes with me. lol. Saturday's concerns over weather remained on all our minds, but we were blessed with suitable weather, and another great turnout for our show and hunt. Judge Lisa Beddingfield worked her way through the entries, and one by one pulled out the creams of the crop. I take my hat off to both our contestants, and our judges. Together, you made our weekend shows two of the best we have ever had. Thank-you. As dark came, weather was much nicer than friday, and entries were up even more so than we had from a great turnout Friday. Rain, to my knowledge held off all night, and we had another fun night in the woods with the dogs we love so much. When it was done, Mark Looney and Big River Dan were crowned our State Champions. Congratulations on your win, and to the others who made our final four. A VERY BIG THANKS TO OUR MOH JAMES LAWRENCE III, JACK ROYAL, for his help in entry taking for the weekend, WALLACE GUILLESPIE, for all his work in guide coordinating, MRS JENNIFER VAUGHN AND DENISE JOHNSON, for taking our pictures and being sure the records of such were kept, MRS.TERESA LOONEY and her staff in that kitchen, which was open every hour of our time there, JENNIFER GREEN and LISA BEDDINGFIELD, for their expertece in picking great show winners, and to the TRI-COUNTY COON HUNTERS for hosting our event. On behalf of the OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS, THANK YOU THE HUNTERS AND WORKERS. WITHOUT YOU IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SUCCESS IT WAS. We would be wrong in not THANKING PURINA, and their committee for having the insight to bring the race to the state events. It has truely helped here in Georgia. Thank you UKC for licensing our event.
THANK YOU AGAIN,
Rock Johnson, President
Georgia Federation of Coon Hunters

We had a great time Saturday and I was completely honored to judge the Saturday show. I was so thrilled to have 38 dogs for the show and some of the best dogs in the country to judge.
I also want to thank Georgia Fed of Coon Hunters and all that were involved in this event. I have been to a lot of state shows and this was truly one of the best.
Thanks again to everyone that came out and let me judge their dogs. I had an amazing time....

I second what Lisa said!! I've judged at the Ga state before and it has always been a very well put on event. We had a wonderful turnout of 34 very nice dogs on Friday night and luckily the weather held out for us during the show! Congrats again to all the winners
