i have had 3 that was Boone bred they where tree dogs and 2 of them was very good strike and track dogs, the 3rd did not realy have a chance because of the job i had at the time and was not hunted that much but he was a tree dog, and they all was vry good looking dogs.

Most of them would start early(6-7 months old) if given the time in the woods they needed. They usually have a good nose and know how to use it and have a head FULL of sence.

i hunted some dogs for mike from 1990 to 1998 and liked all that i hunted for him also owned 3 out of Boone one that at 16 months old was one of the best strike and tree dogs i ever followed he moved a track better then 5 and 6 year old dogs . would take tracks as they came and tree sometimes 3 to 5 minutes ahead of old dogs.. BOONE LEFT A SPOT IN HISTORY .. hes in lots of pedigrees still way back.. Steve Randolph

I have a male dog thats mother side goes back to dohoneys boone and the top side is whats up DOC this one one of the last live crosses out of doc before he died,

coon dogs is all im saying alot of potential honest first strike hound drive a track and split from everthing else with the meat,

What about the Undertaker dog in LA or Credit River Tucker ?

Would have liked to have seen Thunder bred back to a Boone daughter or grandaughter .. not just the Sacket JR stuff.

I have a male out of Tucker and a female pup that's out of a half sister to Tucker, they share Brook View Jill which is Boone bred. Just wondering what characteristics are directly associated with "Boone dogs" that way I know what to look for.

brandon, sassy goes back to boone thru jill on tuckers side and on the bottom she goes back to boone twice. thru southern pines jet (skeans dolly, littermate to jill) and hollow oak candy(boone daughter)..i believe its 3 times in 4 generations..you can expect a lot of foam on there heads when treed for very long..lol sometimes sassy foams up so bad all you see is spots of foam moving when she blinks her eyes!! lol

i would say so..except she is louder than some of the boone females i have hunted with..some i hunted with tended to choke down on the tree..they were direct daughters of boone..i never hunted with any males directly out of boone..
