2 dogs shot on tree last night in southern ind.

two buddys of mine went hunting last night close to underwood ind dogs got treed they started to them they heard alot of gun shots then this guy drove out to the road and told them there dogs was killing his chickens so he shot them but when the police got there there were no dead chickens then he changed his story that the redtick bit him thats why he shot them nither one of these dogs would have bitten anybody does anybody know the laws about shooting dogs in indiana would like to see this guy get whats coming to him any help would be real nice thanks lets see if we can STOP THESE IDOTS FROM RUINING OUR SPORT BY GETTING AWAY WITH KILLING OUR DOGS

Man I am sorry to hear bout that. If anyone shoots any of the dogs I hunt off of tree I promise there will that individuals obituary in the paper. I take my dogs seriously and will pay any consequence. If my dogs are hurt or shot off of tree.

I have taken my fair share of butt chewins the dogs are going to go where the coons are or runnin.

maybe those two ol boys had everything they owned into those two hounds.....now i know better that a dog is a dog and a human is a human but somebody thats sick to shoot a dog off a tree is less than human and an example needs to be made. mike vick killed dogs and hes gonna loose way more than any of us could know. this guys a dirtbag and frankly dont deserve the air he breaths

For sure contact Jerry Moll or Chriss Powell. Chris is an Indiana Conservation Officer,President of the hoosier tree dog alliance, coon hunter and a great guy. He could tell you the legal procedures to take. I hope you get some kind of justice,because I know you cant replace the dogs. Keep us posted this is happening way to much!!!

he had a a small scratch but even the cops said it didnt look like a dog bite he didnt even have the right to go under the tree to the dogs he dont even own the land the dogs were treed on and come to find out these arent the only dogs he has shot

wow i am sorry to hear that! if he has cattle he would have a big loss if he wasn't prosicuted in my eyes. hope you can take him to court and make him pay. my hounds are like my kids. once again sorry to hear the bad news.

thanks for all the info chris powell from hoosier treedog alliance is helping james thanks tammy for pointing them out to me i havent heard of them till you said something we as coonhunters need to join them to help make coonhunting safe for our hounds they do alot lot of good for the sport just click on the link that luvmyhorse posted and join today i will be joining for sure lets help stop people from shooting our hounds these werent my hounds but i feel for james and roy they both had real good hounds i doubt if roy will buy another hound because of this he is really down james raised his from a pup i think she was 5 years old now just like a kid to him
