Dang Lum are you ever at home???? LOL

Posted by Lum on 08-14-2003 06:45 PM:

Yeah Hobo

I stay around some. I love to travel and hunt in different places. I put 30,000 miles on a truck back in 2001 and the majority of that was from going places and hunting.

Coon Dawg I know exactly where you was. My uncle has permission to hunt all that land. There are lots of coon there. You should come down and hunt with me some.

If I get a chance

...I will.thanks for the invitation............does Rev. Longshore still hunt those Plott hounds down there??

Posted by Christy on 08-14-2003 07:24 PM:

I'm limited on the hunting places...

NC, SC, and GA.

One time I think that our dogs ended up in Tennessee on a Nite hunt near Fines Creek, so does that count?

30,000 miles.

And you drove to all those states!

Good gollies, we hunt more than I thought. We bought our truck in March 2002-it had 104,000. It is right now ready to hit 167,000. We have done some riding. 1 trip to Comer GA, and two to Cades Cove Tennessee. that's about all that are really far from home.

Have hunted in WI,WV,PA,KY,TN,GA,FL,IN,MI and once i think i wound up in Virgiinia.Mark you can come deer hunt WV with me if you can keep the deer from sliding down the wrong side. They held an Avon Ellison memorial hunt about two miles from dads place. If you attended you know what it is like.Hope to go to Ontario this year, heard it was the best.

Posted by Mark A. Hauck on 08-15-2003 01:34 AM:

Bluedog 205, I've hunted up there before, many years ago when that hunt was firt going Jim & I sponsored the trophies. I use to go home with a buddy of mine from Summersville, WV and his family owned a big furniture store in town with the same name as the town, guess they been there awhile !!

Gilmere or something like that was the name of the place or maybe it was Gilmore Co don't remember as it was a long time ago

But I do remember those hills..........Mountains !!!!! I said that night if I only had those hills to hunt each night I'd take up Beer drinking and Women chasing !!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the Invite, but think I'll have to pass I don't think I'd make the climb up to my stand (LOL)

Beer drinking and women chasing is what happens after the hunt.Only the diehards still hunt that country.I have passed on some nice bucks because they were on the wrong side of the hill.People talk about hunting rough country, they would probably think otherwise after one long night down in glenville WV.

Posted by Mark A. Hauck on 08-15-2003 05:12 AM:

That's the name of the place I hunted...........ohhhhhhhh what hills, man I was impresed and I made my living walking with lots of weight on my back and it was tough hunting there.

Nice club there and do they still have them little house rooms on the grounds like they use to?????

I took my buddy from Somersville hunting a few times, he would rather do the OTHER which is why he was in trouble all the time !!!! That's a rough crowd up in that area !!! LOL But I did enjoy myself up there and what a view !!!
