Here is a picture of a couple of females I was hunting one night last winter and 7 coon they treed in about 2 and 1/2 hours. They actually treed 11 coon but 4 were doubles and we left one of them up when they treed doubles. The dogs were Lakeland's Lucky Penny and Lakeland's Grandma, now owned by Richy Funkhouser.

This is a picture of Dual Grand Champion Postell's Totally Alsome owned by Mike Postell. Alsome was born in my kennels and I have a picture of him and his littermates before they had their eyes open. Mike and I are very proud of Al. We have learned that 2 dogs out of Al recently finished as Nite Champions which will unofficially leave him needing 1 more to make the Historical Reproducer's list, a goal Mike and I had when Al was 8 months old. We know of 5-6 dogs out of Al that have 1st place wins and only need a few points, so when he makes the list, he will be there a long, long time. He is still a fairly young dog that is still getting pups.

Alsome and Maggie are half brother-sisters. Rat Poison is out of another half brother.

hey rusty is that redtick's line of dogs you got there??

realy what is the breeding on her?

i do have a female i bought from clemons that i am realy impressed with at this point. shes 9 mo old and treeing on released coon with out seeing it. just running and treeing.

craig ineichen

Posted by Rusty Johnson on 06-05-2004 09:02 PM:

She's out of Jim Ridge's Huck A Buck dog and the mother was born at Del Hudson's.She was out of Jim's Briar Creek Houdini dog and a Rooster female.
IF she continues to come on and make a nice dog, she'll be bred in the future to a dog I used to own and run in the hunts.Ch.GR.NT.CH.Johnson's All Out Andy. Andy is a littermate to Nikki's mother so it will be an uncle neice cross. That will put Gr.NT.CH. Briar Creek Snake in the 3 generation pedigree 3 times.
I'm thinking it should be a good cross. We'll see down the road if everything works out as I hope.

I am not sure about Rusty's female but I don't think she is closely related to my dogs.
King, what female is your young female out of? I think she has a littermate that is doing real well out in the timber. His trainer says he likes to tree a little too much on a tap but he is getting hunted with his mother and she helps him get the coon to the tree. He is lucky and has "The Old Master" as a trainer. You may be hearing where he is doing some Nite Hunt winning in the future. The Old Master doesn't keep many that doesn't do some Nite Hunt winning.

redtick, you have a better coon population up there than we do here...... but, you bring them two dogs down here an if they tree 7 or 11 coon in 2 1/2 hours, you aint going home with the one standing in the back, next to the box with the coon are laying on ......... i like the looks of that one.... i'm glad to see you didn't clean those double tree's..... w/ our coon population as thin as it is, we still have num-sculls that will kill every one they tree no matter if it is 1 or 20 in the tree...
