Yadkintar vs The Saw Briar

Saturday night at a small club in Wilson Oklahoma, I had the unique pleasure of drawing out with the infamous “Yadkintar”. You know the cast will be interesting and you are anticipating or wondering...what will make it out of the ordinary, cause you know it will happen ....I’ll get to that in a minute, but first...I will say we were in coon. The dogs showed us two, but the powerhouse of the night was Tar himself, showing us three walking to the truck. No need to even have a dog with Tar on the cast...lol

The out of the ordinary came when Tar got wrapped up in a bunch saw briars. The more he fought, the more tangled he became. At one point they had him pinned to the ground flat of his back and I thought for split second he was gonna tap out, but in the end...he escaped scratched up, but laughing none the less.

His little female did a great job Sat and finished to NTCH. Huge congrats!

Most of all, thanks Tar for the stories, your perspective, putting us in coon...which we saw 10 overall...and definitely the laughs.

That thing had me hog tied lol. Tim I enjoyed it !! Come back next Saturday I am going go up and guide a cast back in there. Me and babe are going to wait for the one hour mini slams to start those should be good hunts. hunt an hour go back and get snacks hunt anouther hour go back and eat breakfast. Wasn't it neat that nice young man in our cast loves to coon hunt and he is only 12 miles from me and I didn't know it. he will get to go hunting now bring nick I will cook some fish.

Tim Iam glad you got to draw out with dad. That's one thing if he guides he will put you in coons. Dad falls ever now and then. I usually just pick him up by his bibs and keep on going. I plan on coming Saturday night if I can get freed up would like to meet you in person. I enjoyed talking to you on the phone about breeding to kid. I think with what I got and kid we can put some nice pups out there in the world.

All you got to do is take Tar hunting, and start filming! He will do the rest, he is vertical challenged, he likes the prone position, at least that's what I have heard. Lol. Should have had him with us tonight, straight up cliffs and took an hour to get 465 yards to dog treed, I am gutted. Dave

Thank the Lord not all of our hunts are like that, but we do hunt in steep ground. We don't have any flat ground in these mountains, but some places are much steeper than others and have a lot of bluffs. Lol. Dave
