What do we talk about now all the major ukc hunts are about over. The $$$ hunts are coming. I already used up all my conspiracy theories. Bruce has lock jaw. Me and Richard are best buddies now. Everybody knows the rules so Jim is silent. Anything interesting they move to the breed threads. So it's getting cool I got Fred back think I will just hunt and enjoy the up coming coon season how about y'all.



Hobo is the best moderater on the board lol.

We could go back to talking about cheaters. I don't think that we really resolved that issue.

Or we could talk about bench show dogs. Isn't Dec the Bench Show, Pleasure Hunters edition of Bloodlines Mag?

Let's talk about a blue tick winning the world hunt. That one is only half resolved. LOL

Isn't that something, a 1/2 bluetick wins the UKC World Hunt and we don't hear a peep from the bluetickers on here. You would think that they would be proud but they act like they are ashamed.

UKC 50
PKC 45
One hunt for 4 wheeler
One Pro Hunt

CHKC one major hunt.

Champions being made every weekend and Thousands of dollars being given away every weekend.

I am in Therapy for coming on here being critical of the ones out accomplishing things and the Kennel Clubs doing their best. I don't know about the rest of the coon hunters out there but I never had a good dog anyone liked but me. Just doesn't seem fair for me to talk about someone else dogs when what I have needs all all my attention.

Tarbaby, it comes with age. Winning at all costs just doesn't seem as important as it once did. Winning is still important but doing it the right way feels much better. You put a lot more emphasis on dog and less on handler.

Sportsmanship

Let talk about it. Seems like its rolled to the bottom of hill like a snowball into ****. I can understand hating losing, but when you go to the extreme of being mad as**** because they didn't win.their making it unpleasant for other cast members even the winner. That's what's wrong with hunts around here anyway,I believe. No fellowship which is footstool for the worse.

Are there that many bad sportsmen or are they just the ones that people remember? I haven't been in that many casts since I got too old, but the majority have been pretty good ones. And when you do run into a bad sportsman, he is the only one in the.cast. So there are at least 3 good sportsmen to that 1 bad one. But the bad one is the one you remember.

I had a couple things happen this past year with my Boo Dogs

The Get Hooked dog went from open registered to Grand Night ln about 4 months this summer. I even won a cast at the Ashland zones with plus points.


And after raising a litter of 13 pups from my Speck female it reminded me why l havent raised any litters in over 10 years. All in all a very good year.

Don't think there is a difference in sportsmanship its just more relevant with the internet. Years ago there was usually at least one crappy cast at every hunt but unless you were there or in the click so to speak you never heard about it. Now within ten minutes after situation its on Facebook and it explodes from there ... Like I've said for years now I used to have to go to a few hunts a year to get my fill of cooners now I just get on here and never have to leave the house......

Question for Ron Jackson: I am curious as to your statement that you haven't raised any pups in "over 10 years"....and it sounds like it may be another 10 years before you decide to have another litter. Did you have bad luck with your Speck litter, or problems with puppy buyers ??

Did you end up keeping a pup from that litter ? If so, how is that puppy doing ?

Well let me say this first. I can not say a had a bad cast of guys in any of the PKC or UKC hunts we were in this year.

And as far as the puppies it was neat to raise a beautiful litter from Speck and a bonus that we did not lose a one. Her first litter. But 13 was a bit much. Down to the 3 l wanted to keep around to see what they develope into for a few more months.
Gone for work 12 hours a day and 6 hours on Saturday was a bit much but with the help from the Mrs. We did o.k..

Oh and a cant go without saying that l had a great visit with ol Carson Jones at the zones.
