New Nite Ch. ~ Lock Down Luke ~

we would like to extend our appreciation to all those involved in the last 3 years...[ certainly the big man above ] , that were involved in the breeding and progress of luke. from learnord simpson who made the cross, to my hunting partner rick patton, who helped in his training and was there all the way from start to finish. luke turned 3 years old the last of feburary so hopefully he has plenty of time to show what he can reproduce.
i have hunted luke in 4 completed cast. out of those 4 he has earned his night champion title with two firsts and a second. here are the three wins that earned his title. [ also, i have hunted in only 6 competition hunts in my life.... so this red dog has had to carry me along the way....lol ]
1. 2014 redbone days; olney illinois ; 1st place and high scoring dog overall ; [ thursday night all red hunt , 103 dogs present ] ~ as a 3 year old
2. 2013 redbone days ; cuba mossouri ; 2nd place and 2nd high scoring dog ; [ thursday night all red hunt, 86 dogs present ] ~ as a 2 year old
3. 2014 georgetown ky ; 1st place; 4 dog cast with 2 english, walker, and redbone. ~

congrats to my huntin partner and lockdown luke, luke has been what i call a freek of nature dog since we started him, lots of heart and a head full of sense. he makes us look like pros. you redbone guys better not pass him up, he is a rare dog

hey men this guy hunts hard and knows what he has got at the end of his lead......always talking on improving the breed....gave me a pup he thought might make it and at the age of 38 years old I started training my first hound and he coached me all the way through...2years later im a redbone coonhunter for life...thanks Mike it has been a blessing to me that I will always give credit to Jesus through you,it has ment so much more than winning a hunt to me ,it has blessed my whole family....I always tell people that a preacher man gave me that dog....well,congrats with Luke and thanks...Brian Hurley

CONGRATS MIKE AND LUKE,I KNEW LUKE HAD IT IN HIM TO WIN,WHEN I HUNTED WITH HIM AT 13 MONTHS OLD,THERE WAS ONLY 2 PUPS IN THIS LITER,LUKE AND DAZY,THEY BOTH ARE NITECH.,I DON'T KNOW IF MIKE WILL TAKE LUKE ON TO GRNITE.,BUT HE WILL MAKE IT IF HE PUTS HIM IN THE HUNTS,DAZY HAS 2 WINS TOWARDS GRNITE.AND WILL FINISH,LUKE IS OUT OF SOME OF THE BEST BREEDING I HAVE HUNTED,AND YOU DON'T SEE MUCH OF THIS BLOOD OVER IN THE EAST,SO IF YOU LOOKING FOR HARD HUNT,TRACK DRIVING AND REAL TREEDOG,YOU MIGHT WANT CONSIDER BREEDING TO LUKE.

I hunted with Go Man Sam a few times and he was a Coon Dog,, One of the nicest I'd seen of any breed,,, I seen him tree twice in January and have the meat both times,, Less than 10 degree's Cold,, crusted snow and a full moon to boot,, I was impressed,

Good luck with your young dog,, sounds as he is keeping up the tradition,

We now have pups on the ground....nt ch. Lock down luke x. Nt ch. Greenwoods ruby. Super good looking pups. Horse power to horse power here. Luke is extremely well balanced so he will b great to fill any holes that may exist in any females or particular lines.

MIKE I KNOW YOU ARE NOT BIG ON COMP. HUNTING,BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE LUKE ON TO GRNITE.,I KNOW HE CAN DO IT,HIS LITTERMATE SISTER IS THE BEST REDBONE FEMALE I HAVE BEEN TO WOODS WITH,AND I HAVE BEEN IN THE WOODS WITH SOME THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE BEST OF THE BREED,AND I WOULD SAY LUKE IS JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN SHE IS.

Update......we have bred a female out of mississippi that was directly out of timber chopper cyrus......also just bred a double buster 2 bred female that is directly out of the heifners little rhino dog. There is 2 litters on the ground presently that r out of 2 exceptional females.
