Stanley Fat Max

Just picked this up at Walmart for 50. Anyone use one?? I had a light builder tell me they were just as bright if not brighter than the 150.00 led cordless spots.

I see no need to carry something like that. If I can't find a coon with my G2 a little more light ain't going to help.

The reason I bought it is because I use the sunspot light and it lights the whole tree up doesn't have much of a spot( which I like) BUT sometimes if its a real big tree I would like to be able to tune that light down to a tight spot so I can zero in on a certain spot. I won't need it.much but it will be nice to have. The light also looks a lot bigger in the pic than it really is. It's only 7 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide.

The pouch for my old spot light that came with my belt light works for it.

Stanley Fat Max

For the past two weeks I have been doing alot of research on these lights. As of right now its the brightest led spot light I have found. Its around 50,000 lux and 750 true Lumens. I have tried to find the one that Atwell has on the internet but no luck. I just can't seeing paying $150 for a spot light when you can get a Fat Max for $50.

**Mat can you post pics of your Fat max in the pouch**

Have you compared burn times. I have aCrystal and the burn time is supposed to be four hours, I don't know if it's that long, but it I can use it for a month of hunting and not charge it.

I think the burn time on the fatmax is only an hour which is about the same as the old regular spot lights. But to me 3 hours more burn time isn't worth an extra hundred bucks. Only takes a sec to stick the charger in it.

Sorry Matt, I didn't get your PM till this morning! I got the same pouch, and it works pretty good. I lost a similar light earlier this year, but before I lost it, I found the coon, and it only cost me 40 bucks to do that. Paid a little more attention to how the Stanley light fit.

Id like to have one of those lights. In that picture it looks like it belongs in a space ship movie.Maybe StarShip Troopers?LOL

i've had two of the older style stanley spotlights. they were only 5 watts. i liked them except they didn't last long. i will probably get a fat max. it's good to have a bright light around the house when you have woods around and need to check on things.

ok, i just got me a fatmax. i love it. it's much brighter than the old stanley. i also like the dimmer botton. press it once and the light in on medium. on the stanley you had to press and hold the botton and wait for it to go into effect. on medium the light is still very bright. i don't know what the burn time is. i hope it's longer than 2 hours on med. my only complaint at this time is the handle size. i'm a small man but the handle is too small for me, but i can live with it.
