Waycross Ga - Event April 17th & 18th - ANYBODY GOING?

We are trying to decide whether or not to attend this event. Is anyone planning on going? My daughter wants to go show but just not sure how big it is or what to expect.

Last year was the first they had it. However, last year was an AKC event. This will be the first for them hosting UKC. It was fun last year. There will be a lot of vendors. Hope to see you there.

Josh

What can you tell me about the other activities? Is this a "family" type weekend? I understand there are some type of concerts & other events going on besides the coon hunt/show?

I guess not many people are planning to attend based on the response to this post.

Priscilla

Priscilla,
I'am thinking about coming to bring some pups to sell. Still undecided if I'll show anything or not. Not sure if I want to chance putting any more wins on my pup.
Taylor isn't looking for anything up & coming to show is she??
We are also coming to watch some of the baying contests.

Anyone down there know a...

John Lanier?

Was a good army buddy of mine and I have lost his number. He went by John John, and was a big boy! Pretty sure he was from around Waycross.

those are coon hunters down that area, not many care about the shows. that is one of the few clubs that host water races and field trial in the southeast, i would go easy on them, im sure they do all they can.

Oh I know all about them being coonhunters in that area. I've attended more PKC hunts in that area than I can count. & most are the best bunch of guys around!! Not too many guys can take a girl picking on them about their dogs.

I can pick you up in Calahan in you want to ride. I'll be entering some hog dogs.

I will also have memberships to the BBCHA if anyone is interested. The annual fees are $25. With that you also get a 2009 Historical Blue Book. It will be printed in February of 2010. It is a great organization to be a part of.

LOL! Seems like that is going around! Two of ours are in heat now and 2 of Andi's are also! Sally stays in the house so I am praying she won't come in. We need to get through May 2nd with her. These girls coming in here have me sweating it! LOL!!

I thought this sounded like a fun event, and I would have liked to take a couple dogs down to show...but I think Waycross is a good little ride from my place. I think I'll be heading to Charleston, SC for an event the other kennel club is putting on myself...

Priscilla was it worth going . havent got any pm back. Brandin do you still have the pup off of my breeding .

Posted by Priscilla Hooks on 04-20-2009 12:09 PM:

Yes it was worth it. Taylor won Overall on the Bench on Saturday. Her male won the CH class on Friday and her GRCH female won & got top ten points both days!

The hog bay was interesting. Never seen that done before. There was alot of vendors. Overall it was a good time.

Congrats on your male! Not alot of red dogs making a mark on the world - I always get excited when I see a redbone doing well.

Take care. See ya soon.

Priscilla
