I've opened it in four different browsers today...

The site is up and running normally.

I just tried it to Joe. I can't get anything to come up other than this and was using your addy above and my bookmark and typed the addy in the address bar.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

Joe, I think it's an IE 6.0 conflict.

I have IE6 (not updating to 7.0 due to conflict issues with programs) and it does not show all of the site. The other day, it didn't come up period with IE but did with Firefox.

It shows in Firefox and Netscape.

Easy fix would be to code sites so that they compatible with all browsers and be universal.

Just tried again and get the ask.com page.

Jessica,

If your using internet explorer 6....it's time to upgrade. You can download IE 7 for free from Microsoft.

Drew,

I've built my last site for IE 6....as long as folks keep building web sites for an unsupported browser....we will always have to have two sites...one of them with all of the bows and whistles, and a "stripped down" version for those that have not upgraded....

The web sites that I build are standards compliant, it is IE 6 that is not......

IE 6 has been unsupported for nearly two years now...time to move on.

Getting IE 7, Firefox, Opera, or any of the other standards compliant browsers is free and easy....

Internet Explorer http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pr...ie/default.mspx

Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Opera http://www.opera.com/

True..............but not everyone upgrades as well as not everyone is good with computers.

I know I have not upgrade to 7.0 as there is some conflict isues with programs.

I have asked people many times what browser they are using only to get the answer......."I don't know, I just now how to turn the computer on and off."

Not sure why you need to create 2 sites to make a site universal.

Maybe your using some WYSIWYG site builder program software.

Sites out there that can not be accessed by 6.0 are few and far between.

Majority of people who build sites, build their sites universal so everyone can access them as there is alot of browser and browser versions being used that needs to be taken into account.

What good is a website if you limiting who reaches it?

If folks who are using the latest IE browser still can;t access a site, I would think the issue would be on the site side, not the user side.

Peggy,

F5 is your friend....

Open the site, hit F5 and CRTL at the same time...clears the browser cache.

The site is up and running, I've opened it today with IE 7, Opera, Firefox, and Netscape...... I opened it also with IE 6 and the warning that I programmed about using IE 6 is working as well....

I can open it with Foxfire, but can't login. How can I check to make sure I have the IE7 version? When I try to open it with IE it goes to the Ask.com page I don't get an error message.

Click the HELP tab at the top of your IE window in top left corner.

Then click on ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER.

It will tell you your IE version.
