Keeping ticks off you

I've tried OFF, skin so soft, and some other stuff but still got'em on me. The thing I've found that works the best is to wear a T-shirt tucked in and another shirt over it. I find most of the ticks between the two shirts when I get home.

What are you guys doing? Them ticks are bad this year.

Anything with DEET, don't spray bugsspray to close to your dog before a hunt because it could mess up his sniffer for the hunt. I also wash with flea and tick shampoo after to make sure if they are in my hair they die. Sounds hokey but it works! Good luck

I use Repel with .05% Permtrin in it just spray it on cloths DO NOT spray on skin it will burn. I spray it on kind of heavy. The only place I have found a tick is on my arm crawling. I might find 1 tick a night maybe. It is the best stuff I have found. try it and let us know what you think..

I mix my own permethin spray and just yesterday I had several sets of pants, long sleeve T's, gloves and waders on the clothesline. I spray them down and let them dry. We don't have the tick problem you guys have, but I haven't had one on me or the dogs all year with this method.

I wear flea & tick dog collars around the ankles of my rubber boots under the frog legs and use Head & Shoulders shampoo, works well for me.

Ive been putting this on my chaps, seems to be working well. Only have found one on me, so far this spring.

http://www.bayeradvanced.com/insect...r-insect-killer

I hunt areas with heavy ticks and lymes.

I spray permitherin (sp) on my hunting clothes once every couple of months. I use 40% deet on my arms and neck. We have LOTS of ticks and will often come in with several or hundreds if you don't treat your clothes.

Ticks

I spray lemon pine sol on my boots and clothes before going hunting it seems to do the trick! Thought about washing my hunting clothes with it and see if that would work.

Obsorbine

We use Obsorbine Jr to keep those bitting knats away. Seems no bugs like the smell of Obsorbine.
I hear if you buy the horse obsorbine and mix with 50% white vinegar, spray on the dogs and your boots and chaps, the ticks stay away.

Put Advantix on your dogs once a month and spend QT with them on a daily basis and I promise you won't ever have to wear any deet or have any ticks.

haha, I read somewhere about a gentlemen that actually put it on himself

Put Ben Gay on ankles ,waist, behind knees, etc. This works the best of anything I know and I wish I could take credit for the discovery but I can't. This discovery was made by John Wick.
