Anybody Watch Wild Justice?

It's based in California and bout 12 game warden tried to get this guy for poaching a hog with hounds and knife. You know the dogs bay the hog and then they run in, jump on its back and cut its throat with a knife. He told them they didn't have nothin on him and called them about every name in the book. I found it quite funny that he had that much gall. But anyway I thought hogs were considered feral animals in most states and that you could take them when and how ever you found them???? Am I right about that?

You need to have tags and be in a legal area to hunt them. You can hunt them year round. If you're using dogs the rules get a little more complex.
It's not quite as simple as "anything goes".

you have got to remember it is california they can hunt them they just can't stick them was stationed out there and actually hunted quiet a bit some pretty good hunting

That show has done nothing for the integrity of the California fish and game. They are a bunch of jerk-offs. The one on trying to catch a bear poacher was a joke. They should be fired for interfering with a legal hunt. Hogs are trespass animals in Florida and you can hunt them year round without even a liscense.

wild justice

i watched it a couple times didnt cre for it much i think alot of states give gamewardens to much aourity in my opion lot of them think that they can do anythingthey want bring false charges against people had a friend of mine that has a farm one day during deer season one came through his shut gate he said wanted to check them out buddy ask him who gave him perrmison to come on his property warden said he didnt need permisson but he find out my freind told him to get in his vechiel and leave his was trespassing on privte he left wasnt very happy

Depends on what they're doing often times they don't need a warrant to search or come on your property. I know for a fact in NC a Game Warden has just as much power as a State Trooper, they can even write traffic tickets. If they had radars I guess they could write you up on that too.

Entirely to much power if you ask me and if all Game Wardens are like the ones around here and those depicted on the show they definitely go overboard and take advantage of it. In my opinion the show is ok but it plays on the public's opinion of all hunting and hunters in general and not in a good way!

I just graduated B.L.E.T in North Carolina. It is not that they have to much power. Any law enforcement officer has the power to enforce any law in their jurisdiction. Since the entire state is their jurisdiction they can enforce any state or federal law anywhere in the state. A county officer can only enforce laws in that one county or anywhere in the state for a felony committed in that officers county. A city or town police officer can enforce in the town/city limits or any property owned by the town/city. I like to watch most of the shows based on law enforcement, they are funny. I do have the utmost respect for all law enforcement officers based on the fact that they put their lives on the line to protect the 98% of us that are fairly good from the 2% that are not. I am working on getting a job right now so I can do the same. Take a ride along with your local PD and see all the crap they have to put up with and you may understand why they are not always chipper and happy when they pull you over for something you obviously didn't do.

Heck I put my life on the line every time I go to the likker store . I also put my future on the line that a county mounty doesn't want to come in MY yard and express his theoretical JURISDICTION which prevails in his own mind , How about that? , future Hero!

Ate a shimpboil with a "horseperson nurse" last night bitching about the way the dogs sliced the ear on a wild hog before they sliced it's throat, her mamma had let the hog hunters hunt. But she thought they were "nice" for hauling the pigs off unscathed. Now you tell me! which one is legal and which act is illegal. As long as we let nuts decide what is wrong and what is right , the inmates WILL run the institution.

Now, if you desire to"enforce a law within your jurisdiction" you must make a "judgement call" as to the "law" as well as your percieved "jurisdiction". So why don't we alow 20 year old gaduates of the institution to make that call?? I wonder. Do you have the answer? I think a halfassed lawyer is fixing to slap a knot on your head. Not counting the judge, Captain Planet. Who is the "judge" anyway according to your post? Does he have a place in the system or is he just a backdog pointer honoring a pup?

Why would anybody want to be one anyway since it is soo dangeruos . Don't holler boo unless you you want to see a hundred bluelights. How in the hell did the only cop in the little town 10 miles down the road ever survive? And he was well thought of. Wasn't Bobbies on bycicles two by two like Roger Miller spoke of. They ain't on bicycles , they are in 65,000 $ cop cars two by two. And we wonder????

I'm not happy with the way the news media loves to portray hunters.

l.lile, why don't you just come out and tell us why you hate law enforcement officers so much? We have our share of "Barnie Fifes" around here but MOST are good.

Hey Donnie, I know people don't like cops. I am the easiest person in the world to get along with. I like the Captain America thing. I don't know what town he lives in but we ride one to a car and may not have any back-up for an hour. Sounds to me like he may have had a few more run ins then he should have. By the way I am not a 20 year old graduate (34). I want to be a cop to protect people so they can live a normal life without fear of going outside. You are right l.lyle, it is dangerous. If people wouldn't act crazy and have such disrespect for others you wouldn't need cops. As far as my past jobs or what abilities I have, I assure you I can do alot more things that would pay alot more and be less dangerous. Those things are not what I want to do. If you think cops get paid alot and get all the perks you need to do a little research. The benefits are the best thing about it and you have to finish your years before you can reap those rewards. Think about what you are saying. I am sure you will need the help of a law enforcement officer sometime in the future. Then you can tell them how you feel and I am sure they will look at you say "well that is your opinion". Then they will continue to do their job and finish what they started, tell you if you need anything call and hope you have a good day. And guess what? Next time you call, the same cops will respond, give their all to help you, and not think twice about the comments you made the time before. By the way thanks for calling me a future hero. I hope I can live up to those standards. Thank you l.lyle for the comments, your opinion. Thousands of cops in the U.S, thirty of those cops on tv with a script and now people think they are worthless dictators.

Jezz...... Hey l. lyle..... you really dont have to watch this show if you dont want to...... unless of course the FCC decides to make it mandatory lol..... but your right..... how can a handful of people in far off washington, really decide whats good for the people? especially since most of them have forgotten the people who elected them? And those people have forgotten why they elected those in office,(If they ever had a reason to begin with) either way, life sucks then you die...... lets just have fun while we are here........ By the way i Strongly believe in animal rights, Their rights to be grilled, stewed, or roasted!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't waste 30 minutes of my life watching a show about game wardens. There are good ones & bad ones in anything I suppose, I just find that all we can get down here are arrogant, smart asses who pick & choose when & where & to "whom" they want to harrass, & that's exactly what they do here. They waste tax dollars flying around looking for corn & harrassing legal hunters(especially the ones who won't give them permission to turkey hunt their property!), but when u actually need them, they're always unavailable. They're burning fuel flying around almost everyday here waging their "War on Corn Feeders," yet I can show u right now where a dozen or more permanent, 25gal feeders full of corn are in full view. They're on our Alabama Game & Fish district Rep's(their boss!) land. They fly over it at least twice everyday yet the only time a game warden comes anywhere near it is when the Rep calls to report someone shooting at night, then they'll run u over getting there, but never bother his corn. Just like everything else regarding law enforcement, just depends on who u are. I have nothing for GW, or any other LEO that abuses their power like these. I guess if I ever catch that show on the TV, as long as the "poacher" ain't putting another person in danger or destroying their livestock, property, or pets(that don't include game animals), then I'll probably be rooting for the "poacher!"

Not to keep on but most of your laws are state laws. They are different in every state. What upsets me is people who drive legal, hunt legal, or are basically legal all the time have more of a problem getting caught doing something then the ones who are always in court. Your right, some law enforcement officers are butts. The main thing is you don't know what they have to put up with. A few words of advice, commend them on the job they do. It is not easy always being portrayed as the bad guy because you did something wrong and got caught at it. No one is perfect and every once in a while you do get caught doing something you hardly ever do. When that happens just take it as a learning experience and go on. I am not perfect and have had a few tickets. I didn't deserve them at the time I was getting them but later on realized if I hadn't done what I done I wouldn't have gotten the ticket. Simple as that. From speeding to murder to killing a coon out of season, if you break the law there is always a chance you will get caught. I have had the wardens check me several times and went through a bunch of traffic checks. If your not doing anything wrong, no worries. If you are in the wrong, you may get caught and you may not. Most of the time it is a ten to twenty minute wait and then you are on your way. If you are getting stopped and checked almost every time you are out then there must be something to it.

The legal bear hunt that was mentioned was not totally legal.(if it is the same one I watched) The gall bladder had been hidden and stored illegally. That is a felony as far as I know. The guy fed the wardens a bogus story and they let him destroy it and didn't charge anyone. Being charged with a felony or let off without no charge. Sounds like a good deal to me.
