WOW, awesome Kel!

That first bobcat looks like a big one. Any idea what that one might weight?

Nice Looking Cats!!

Treesolid,

Snow comdtions and walking look about is good as it gets. Won't be long before you will need snow shoes. Do you typically run three hounds?

Thanks for sharing Looking forward to your pics.

Jim

thanks for all the comments guys, i dont know the weights on the cats.

Jim, yes we typically run 3 dogs on cat. marge and ojo are seasoned cat dogs. oj is 6 marge is 5. they work very well together and know how to run a cat. we try to bring one young dog if they have the brains, Kimmie seems to be doing a nice job and has a decent nose, that is why we are running her. she is 8 mos old. if we take a young dog and they are a hammerhead, they dont go cat hunting. lol. it takes a smart dog to develop into a cat CATCHING dog.

Kelli

That looks awesome, I'd love to run cats. Treed one while coonhunting one time but nothing on purpose. Where are you running? I'd love to try it some time, once I get some dog power of coarse, lol. Take care. wd

Jason

Yeah your right, I should have posted differently...Vt or Me would have made more sense. I don't know the cat seasons for each state, just a dumb coonhunter myself, lol. wd

Posted by stevehurd on 12-19-2009 11:33 AM:

I was told that some where in NH the state was trying to put tracking collars on some bobcats. Don't know how they are doing it, mybe with hounds or trapping.

Yes just need to buy a hunting license no different than hunting coyotes or snowshoe hair.
