Prayers for a future hunting buddy

My sister had a baby boy yesterday. He's almost 6 weeks premature. He's big (8lbs 4 ounces) for being early, but his lungs aren't developed quite right and he came out with a serious infection. They got him on oxygen, and serious IV antibiotics and he's in the NICU. My sister can't even pick him up and hold him and she is totally bummed. They think he'll be alright (thanks to modern medicine) but he'll have to be in the NICU for at least 2 weeks. It'll be hard for her to leave her baby in the hospital and come home when they kick her out on Mon. Just asking everyone to pray that he'll be good and get out soon and that she'll be mentally tough and get through this bad time.
Much appreciated,
Jeff

MANY thoughts and Prayers!

My oldest sister was born 2 lbs ten ounces....over SIXTY yrs ago! She is basically fine and because I love my sister VERY much and cannot imagine life without her...preemies hold a special place in my heart....
MANY thoughts and prayers for your sister! My mum and dad couldn't hold Cassandra for a VERY long time... and I can tell you your sister will make up for not being able to hold her little one! Her love will reach him the same way God's love will...even without touch.

We will look forward to good news SOON,
Heather and Bob

Prayer works!!

Yesterday looked bleak they were talking about 2 weeks in the NICU. Then today when I went to visit, he looked great, no oxygen, no feeding tube, the nurses can't believe how fast he's getting better and they say my sister will go home tomorrow and the baby will probably go home on Thursday!! I have seen a little miracle take place right in front of me!!

Thank you all for your prayers, and keep praying!!

I'll keep the prayers going, too.

It is, in many ways, in the hands of good neonate folks. But, God's hand is there, too. Yes, if our eyes are open, we see miracles every day.

I'm glad things are looking better for you all.

Marc

His name is Jacob. His daddy was a college wrestler and wanted to name him after the wrestler in the Bible.

My sister came home today. She was discharged this morning but stayed all day in the NICU with the little guy. My wife is taking her back up there tomorrow while her husband is at work. Can't wait to see him come home. My three boys are so excited to see their little cousin later this week!!

Thanks to all for their prayers and encouragement!!

Thanks again to all for your prayers and encouragement!

It keeps getting better. Today the Dr. said that the infection that they were afraid might have been there and might have even attacked his brain wasn't there at all! All the tests showed NO INFECTION!!! Let me say that again, THERE NEVER WAS ANY INFECTION THAT THE DOCS WERE SURE WOULD BE THERE!!! That is God at work!

...and HE GETS TO COME HOME TOMORROW!!!

I'l post pics of the little guy as soon as he gets home so you can all put a face with your prayers!!

Thanks again,
Jeff
