? About Curs

If a person was to want a cur that has good looks, by good looks I mean a good built, muscular, cat footed type of cur, with good sense, and natural treeing ability, what bloodline would you suggest? Everyone has a different preference, I like a good looking dog, thats well made, I dont like a big huge cur with feet like a german shepard, I like one with a good head, short bodied and I prefer a medium to dark brindle color. And good sense, sense to not only make them a good dog in the woods, but at home to. Im just looking for a opinions here.

The dog you describe sounds like the Amazing bred Treeing Curs that the Kovac's raise. Do a search for "Amazing Cur" and you'll find plenty of info.

I have 2, a male that is double Amazing Shamrock bred and a female pup out of 'X Factor'. They are both Cur/Hound crosses. The male is 10 months and has already shown natural treeing ability with plenty of personality. The female pup is going to be the same.

I like the Amazing Curs but my vote would be for the Kemmer Mt. Curs. The Kemmer dogs not only have looks but brains too. Very easy to train on whatever game you wish to run and tree.

The Amazing cur might be a little bigger than I like, which Im sure the size varies some on them and Im sure they are some fine dogs, Im not knocking them at all, Ive heard alot of good things about them, but they seem to be, by looking at picture of the one stud that they have, a big bulky bulldog looking dog. A dog that really catches my eye is the Thunder Sport dog of Allen Franklins, I really like the way he looks in the pics Ive saw, but does he have everything else?

I must admit that I like the kemmer bred curs too, but the amazing cur line that the Kovac's have is truly what the name states. Enough said.......

You might take a look at some of Donnie and Mary Clark's dogs on their Castle Hill Mtn Cur site. See if they're built like you want. I know they have plenty tree in them and every one I saw lacked nothing in conformation.

Amazing Curs - OUTSTANDING!!

Amazing Curs!!
Here are my two Amazing Curs - Amazing Yancy=Shamrock/Glory; Amazing Tugaloo Uno=Amazing Yancy/Amazing Casey, both champs. Uno's sire is Copper male; Uno's dam is Yancy.

Both are boxy, muscular, nose and mouth!! Uno leaps vertically no less than 10 ft in his treeing.

What do you think about this dog?

This is a Leopard out of Ganus' Hoosier Seabiscuit x Hoosier Steel Magnolia. This is him on the bench winning BOS at the Mn. State Hunt. By the way I have more....

Shannon,

I just bought a pup from Amy at Amazing Curs. I think she goes by AmazingAmy on here... it is a nice a' acting and looking pup I have ever had... She is a true beauty. Awesome muscle tone, perfect head, nice feet, and nice red color. They have other colors also! This pup is nice looking. Will find out about ability later, but you couldnt beat her conformation and looks!!!

Will try to get a pick soon!

How about this one?

She is not the most "cat footed" dog I have owned but she is still nicely put together and is NKC Bench Champion. More importantly she has a wonderful personality and is an awsome squirrel dog!!

http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b...LaurelBench.jpg

This next little gyp has to be the most conformationally correct dog I have seen and quickly became NKC and OMCBA Bench Champion!! I believe she is now something like Grand Bench Champion in OMCBA. She now belongs to Mary Clark and makes her home in Missouri.

http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b...=BestofShow.jpg

Both of these gyps are out of the late Junior Jukebox!!

You can see my male pup on my web site http:www.angelfire.com/sd2/skylinemtncurs/home.html

Josie is out of Mtn State Pepper and Mtn State Geronimo which is a different line of dogs from either of these two gyps.

By the way, how do ya'll get your pictures inserted into the post like that?
