Last Nights Hunt!!! A Fun One!!

Always a good hunt and fun to share when Daddy takes his youngster along. My son just turned 5 a few days ago and he usually can only handle a drop or two before he starts dragging those feet. Well last night he only got to make one drop before I took him back home to momma cause our new dog decided to drop in the country on us. I usually try to hit spots with Bailey that are easy walking and possibly easy to get closer if they drop deep. Well Bill found some new ground that wasn't nothing but a long walk. I offered to run him home but he insisted on staying with Dad and getting Bill. We walked 7 tenths of a mile through some open and down timber. He never complained nor did I have to carry him. With a little help he harvested the coon and led Bill all the way back himself while I packed his prize. Proud of my little trooper last night!!

I am starting to feel sorry for Joe. That is a great story, your going to enjoy having your son as a hunting partner. Bill is a good hound, I enjoyed that hunt the other night Bill did a nice job.

I got to looking close at that picture. First off looks like Bailey stole a piece of my gum out of the truck. Evidence is hanging out of his mouth. I'm pretty sure I told him no gum cause I don't like him chewing gum while we stumble through the woods. But upon further examination of the picture I noticed something much worse. I'm hoping it's just the hat pressing down on the ears, cause I sure don't remember his ears sticking out like that.... Reminds me of a boy named Gregory I hunt with from time to time

I have noticed someone is getting old. A sure sign is when they start to refer as others as kids and young guys.

Ben.....the smile on Bailey's face says it all!! Memories like that will last a lifetime!!
My son Tanner loves when daddy has to carry him through the country......It only makes us stronger and lets us feel like superman for a moment in time!! :-)
