How often do you blow a spot-light ?......

Just wondering how long does a bulb last you in a Spot-Light ?

Also, what volt light do you use ?...........Thanks......Tim

21 V belt light a lot of lights only put 12 - 13 V to the spot light. I rewired my Bandit and it puts 22 V to my spot light. No problems with it so far.

Spot

Alright, here is the thing and I would like some input on this as well.......................................

I bought a new 21 volt belt-light a year ago this past Autumn Oaks, I did not use a Spot with it until Jan. '08.........then I blew the spot, I didnt think too much about it, bought another Spotlight with a bulb.....used it maybe 4-5 times blew this bulb. I called the builder of the light ( wont name ), he mails me another spot bulb, I put this one in.....use it 1-2 times and I blow it, I call the builder back........he thinks he knows what the problem is and for me to ship it to him, in the mean time I buy another bulb at Walker-Days and have a Light builder there put it in...........The first time I use it, it blows......................I ship the light to the Builder along with 2 Spotlights with blown bulbs, he "fixes" it and ship it back with a new bulb in each Spotlight. I use one of the spots from about July until Late December and it blows, I call him and he thinks I should be fine and if I get 6-8 months I would be doing good....................... 5 Spot-Light bulbs in 11 months, is this NORMAL ?..................................Thanks............Tim

wrong spotlight, try one that's supposed to be on it. different voltage might work. i put a boxlight spot on my belt light and blew 2 of them.

One of the Spot-lights came from the builder of the light and 3 of the bulbs came from him.............You would think he would know if it was the right Spot-Light and bulb, wouldnt you ?..........Tim

spotlite

Tim, If you have a 20 volt lite or bigger, you need a resister. It sounds like you have the right combination now. The 30 watt or the 50 watt will work with very little difference, as long as you have the resister.======Jeff

Thanks Jeff...................

It seemed as if the 30 watt had a "yellowish" tint to it, and the 50 watt is whiter and brighter, maybe its just me..............Tim

I have a Coonbuster 20 Volt belt light, and on high I cant imagine ever needing anything brighter. I dont think a seperate spotlight could be any brigher. In 5 years of pretty steady use I've blown one bulb.

Posted by bobbyG on 01-12-2010 03:23 AM:

yeah i know its plenty bright on high. i dont need anything any brighter to shine with. i am just wanting a spot light too.
