My Hunt tonight 1-22-07 (pics and video)
To start off with. This was one heck of a foggy night to be hunting around here. But Me and a freind went for a couple of drops. We made two drops and saw two coons. So the fogg didnt hurt anything. I hunted my young walker dog Petey and Doug brought along two of his Blue females. Which to my surprise after hunting with them. I ask what the young female was off of. He told me she was off of Terry Dalton's studd dog MAX. So Terry if you read this and see this female in the video below. I think you will be tickled with her. So folks , here is some pics and a video at the end for ya to enjoy. Thanks Larry

John, I would rather them stay in one spot. But those are some young hounds still. I most of the time tie them when I get to the tree. But I was wanting to get the video so we left them loose. Thanks for the comments though.

quote:You are lucky to have 3 young hounds doing so well and they sound good. I had a grand son of Hammer X. here that was a tree dog and he didn't have any of that Hammer Jump to him he would stay in one spot and let it rip. He was an intense tree dog with a level head but he could be forced into protecting himself if and when he did have to do that he would take care of business and back to treeing he went. I owned his sire he was as gentle as a lamb in any situation and a coon dog that knew where to go find a coon. Good hounds are hard to come by and after owning one that half suits a person its hard to find that type hound again........

Thanks John, I like the way these young hounds are working. But you are right about one thing. If you ever have a decent hound and loose it. They are hard to replace. But you have to keep going in the search of that right one.

Don't worry Terry, Doug will hunt the hair off her. She will also get plenty of fur in her mouth.
