What would make a dog that is tree coons consistently at 12 to 13 months old, suddenly start going backwards and now only hunting 100 yards at best and coming back. Still will start a track if he finds one in that 100 yards and finish it, sometimes or just quit, may hunt little farther with another dog at times. Seems to be some kind of handler error or something

He may be sick, have your vet check him for tick or other diseases.

Also, I have only seen it a couple of times but he may be just not interested in coon now. He may prefer cat, bear, etc.
