anesthesia and dogs......

anyone had a dog take a down turn on hunting, accuracy, handling etc. after they've had a major surgery under anesthesia? dog goes from really really good to a whole lot less ? i've heard it before just wondering.

I haven’t experienced any effects afterwards but quite possible it could have ill effects on some dogs
