No Locate

Curious. I have a ntch Male that doesn't really have a locate. Just rolls right in to chopping on tree. He will turn 3 in January. He has thrown a solid locate a couple times this season, but not every time. Is this something that may increase with age?

We have a dog that developed one when she turned three years old. She is now a one bark tree dog. So don't listen to anyone that says it CANNOT happen. That being said, I don't really think you can expect it to happen and is not likely. You may later realize that rare locate means something, like he is just guessing and is unsure of himself or the exact opposite (super hot track).
