bobcat
I have a female that seems to really like cats i cant coon hunt with her anymore because it turns out being an all night chase. I am gonna start running her during the day to see if i cant help out her out after deer season let the deer hunters out of the woods. Is there anything that i need to try to do to help her on her way or to turn her into i full blown cat dog and can it even be done with just one dog

sounds like if you end a race with a kill the dog wont look back if she is already that cat minded.i would take a shotgun to pick him off if he gets out ahead though because that first kill can really make a dog focus .you will have to find out exactly how good she is ,and how you want to hunt based on her abilitys after that. if she just pushes a cat along ,but doesnt catch them or tree . your options are pretty limited to hunting by picking him off with just the one dog.cats will wind right into smaller and smaller circles here with good pressure before a tree or catch .if your dog is runnin alot of straight lines running cats then she is not pressuring them much.if a cat keeps a lead on the dog this will happen often.sometimes cats just pop up a tree with no real pressure ,but that i wouldnt count on.hope she does well for you.
