blue tick health issue
Just thought maybe someone may have seen this before. My hound ran a fever for about a month he was under vet care with antibiotics. I thought he acted funny with a little stiffness in his hip area at the top of the hip/ hind quarter .After a run of antibiotics he seemed better acted ok and started eating good again. Then all the sudden he developed a swollen area on the right side where the hip and rib cage meet about 3" wide x 6" long . Very tight and sensitive. Took him back to the vet they did xrays and said everything looked ok , muscle swollen . New round of antibiotics , all swelling went down then he started licking an area that came up like a cyst about 3x3 . The area started draining and eventually went down and we thought he was good . 3 days later another one pops up close to the same area but a little behind the first one . Back to the vet this time they did blood test . all good . lance the cyst where it wil drain and gave us another round of antibiotics .Well that cyst is going down but I see what looks like another one beginning further up the rib cage . These come from the inside out .They took a graft to send to the lab but I wont know results for a few days. This dog don't hunt he's a retired and neutered face barker that is my yard dog . Great Dog . Anyone one had this happen to them? Got any ideas? Thanks Wayne
