I hunt bear in Mts. ,I use a 220 ,dc-30 collars with long range antt., when in the woods i use a 3 element yagi antenna in the 151 freg. rang you will get much more range this way ,wildlife matterials can make you one for about 100 bucks ,can't be beat!

Yeah, I covered this a very long time ago. Tell Wildlife Materials to go jump in the lake and order you a 3 element from Arrow Antenna or MFJ for that matter, save tons.
