Motor Guide 24 volt bow mount trolling motor

Tour edition 24 volt,82 lb thrust vairable speed,foot controlled. Was 2 years old 1st of June. I started having problems and couldn't figure out why it kept shutting down at higher speeds so I purchased the same unit ,a new one for $1079.00 and just mounted the motor on the same base on my basscat and same thing. It also shut down at higher speeds. After checking voltage on batteries,I found that there was a 50 amp inline breaker between where the 2 batteries are jumped together to create the 24 volts. It was bad and corroded thus not allowing a full 24 volts to the motor. The motor has a built in thermal protector in it that protects the motor when your batteries start to go bad and shuts it down. Removed the breaker and put in a solid connection wire and all is fine.This unit has been checked by two motorguide service centers and neither found a problem with it. Vic's sport center and ravenna marine. Check motor guide service centers,both are listed there. You can call them if you like. I just don't need 2 units. Mounting base is still new in the box,I have and extra new machettee 3 blade prop to go with it! $750 plus shipping. PM if interested! The bow mount part is in box and new,never installed!
