Freeze Branding, Tattooing, Microchip
Do any of you with black dogs practice regular branding, tattooing or chipping with your dogs? Since alot of black dogs look alike seems like it would be a good idea for better identification.....

Alot of owners freeze brand. I tattoo, but with DNA profiling it makes it harder for the theives to steal and trade dogs without getting caught along with the micro chip.
I do alot of the microchips too with mine.
JMO The freeze branding is a roadsign to theives to leave the dog alone and I havent heard of very many that have been stolen. I'm sure some have though. I show my hounds and Im not sure what show judges think of freeze brandings so I dont do that one.
