crook in a tail...

Just wondering if it hurts to show dogs that have a crook in its tail... I am getting a puppy and it has a crook in it. Just wondering if I should dock it to the point or what... I dont like docking tails. Any suggestions would be helpful...

Surgically altering a dog for the show is not recomended. When judging we are looking for the positive attributes. Thickness of the tail, tail set, brush on tail... A minor crink in the tail would likely not interfere with the dog's ability to perform. Any time a dog gets anesthesia for a surgical procedure there is risk involved. IMO don't worry about it.
