dog with very dry nose

My female has had a very dry nose for sometime now, she eats well, has a good stool, hunts hard etc. she does have an allergy problem in her eyes that we put drops in every 4-5 days and it works pretty good. could allergies be doing this to her nose also and does this affect her sent? any ideas? thanks
