Black&Tan/White German Shepherd Dog

Would I be able to register my dog if her mother was an AKC registered White Shepherd, and her father was an AKC registered Black & Tan?

I wasn't aware that such a prejudice exists against white dogs in the AKC. Her breeder even marked on her papers that she is not to be used for breeding because she is a "mistake". I agreed not to show her, because I don't have time for a confirmation ring or to have a dog for show. My dog is always a family, companion, protection dog. She has a job! I would like to train her for agility when she is older and more developed.

She is a beautiful 7 month old American type shepherd. She has black and tan markings, with a white ruff and underbelly. Excellent temperment, schooled, socialized, and as well behaved as you can expect a 7 month old to be. I don't know why these traits would be held against her because of the color coat of her parents.

Please Help!
Susan :/

Are you saying that the mother is a white dog registered as a German Shepherd with AKC and the father is a Black & Tan dog registered as a German Shepherd with AKC? I'm quite sure that's your question.

If the answer is yes, you can register that dog either as a German Shepherd or White Shepherd with UKC. Your choice.
