Wheeler's Ozark Hammer

Just wondering if anyone knows anything on this dog i have a young male dog that isvery hammer bred he has him 3 times on a 3 generation pedigree this pup has a very nice mouth so hammer must throw nice mouths but any info will be appreciated

Hammer was owned by Robin Wheeler that lives north of me an hour or so up near St. Joseph, MO. I never hunted with Hammer, but I always heard good things about his ability. He did a fair amount of winning when he was young, but I'm not sure how much he was hunted later on. He also was used by Scaggs and Mcelroy in their breeding program and there are quite a few dogs around that go back to him, as a result. I don't have his reproducing numbers in front of me but if I remember right, they were pretty good, percentagewise. I bred my Ruby female to him in '97 but he was pretty old then and it had to be done AI and I got no pups. I later bred her to a grandson of him and got a few nice pups.
