A little help please...

Took the dog out last night and a litter or coyotes came in and Lily was in my lap INSTANTLY. Is this normal?

Also, I have run her several times and she seems to be tracking but she doesn't open up. We are gonna go to another woods to see if she'll open up. Am I doing something wrong?

The gal said she was 3 or 4 years old.

I have seen dogs that got ran out of the woods by coyotes as youngsters, and they remained coyote shy for years...
