? about coon hunting mule

I just percased a yearling molly mule In which I hope to train for coon hunting. Can anyone give me any helpful advise on training her. Is it true you can not use a horse saddle on a mule? I have trained several horses in my life time & I am just looking for some advise on the does & don't's on a mule.
Thank you

Mules

Mules do have a different build and gait than horses, but you can use your saddle, just make sure you have plenty of saddle pad. Also you want to invest in a britchen. Most mule owners dont even attempt to brake to ride until the mule is 3 yrs old. Ground work can do alot between now and then. Most mules will do about anything for a treat, so keep them handy. But your in for along wait. if your mule is a yearling. Goodluck, we have 3 of them.
P.S. Hope she doesn't get over 54" tall or it won't be good riding for coonhunting, you will have to duck to get under the trees.
