About Registration
I have a 10 month old Chihuahua that I would like to see about getting registered but she was given to me and I do not know if her parents were ukc registered or not.. So what I would like to know is does the parents have to be registered to get her registered or can I just register her with you all at no problem.
Please let me know what I can do.
Thank You,
Peppar Smothers
Hi there. Your dog would not be eligible for UKC registration because 1) it either must have UKC papers or 2) be registered by a registry acknowledged by UKC. Since your dog fits neither of these two requirements, it cannot be registered with UKC.
We suggest that you spay or neuter the dog and enjoy it as a pet. Then the dog could be Limited Privilege listed and could enter several of our working events (obedience, agility, weight pull, etc.)
Download our Limited Privilege application at http://www.ukcdogs.com/rg/pdf/lpapp.pdf Be sure to read all instructions carefully.
You will need to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader if you haven't already. If you have any trouble email me at sjonas@ukcdogs.com
