Beagle Coloring

My son wants to show and hunt dogs so I am thinkin of starting him with a few beagles. Like ol dad he is a bluetick person. My question is are blueticks doomed on a bench since the preference seems to be the traditional tri-color?

Judges should judge according to the standard which calls for any good hound color. No prefrence is given to color in the standard. Finding an excellent structured bluetick will be the key to your success in this. Best of luck in your beagling venture.
