Very good fish house about 15 miles south of Batesville right off interstate 55. Can't remember the exit number but I think it's the Charleston exit

X 2 on the como steak house. I live in Iowa and raise our own beef but they have it going on....... By far one of the best steaks I have ever ate at a restaurant.

Don't, I repeat don't, buy food in the building. If you forget this and buy food buy mistake, don't give it to your dog. He won't eat it either.

There is a Barbacue/fish place in a little strip mall on the west side of the interstate. We have a enjoyed eating there. They have good food.

If you don't care to drive some, go back up towards Memphis and you can about close your eyes and pick a bbq place that will knock your socks off. Do yourself a favor and go up and check out the Bass Pro in Memphis and get you some bbq, it's worth the drive.

ok here goes,,,,thursday,friday or sat.9 miles north exit 252 there is a fish house with a buffet.all you can eat.turn right off inter state and its on the left. L & L STEAK AND FISH.as good of a steak as you can eat.then on friday about two miles west from the civic center in batesville,BURNS BBQ will be on your left in a strip mall.best small buffet you will find.fish,boiled shrimp,frog legs all you can eat.sat. night BURNS BBQ will have a BBQ buffet all you can eat.then there is the CRACKER BARREL ,then go past the cracker barrel and there is a small mall on your left,right in the middle of it is a mexican restaurant with a buffet.as matter fact there are 3 mexican restaurants in batesville.como steak house is good but kinda pricey.L& L FISH HOUSE has a good a steak as anyone.then about 15 miles south on i55 at the OAKLAND exit there is a fish house with a buffet but all they have is fish with condiments.my choice on friday night will be BURNS BBQ.BUFFET OPENS AT 5;00 FRIDAY AFTERNOON.plenty of fast food if thats what you want.hope this helps....662-902-6060 if i can help

On what Mr. Hardy said. Burns is a great place and everything I have eaten there was very,very good. The fish place at Oakland is 3 exits South of Batesville and they open @ 4:30 ea day. Best catfish I ever ate. Bout 14.50 a person with drink and all you can eat.
Oxford is 20 min East of Batesville and got bout anything you want. Great college town.

If your wife likes to shop, especially antiques/junk, go to Oxford. Sugar Magnolia Antiques is on University Ave. the first exit off of highway #7 to the left about a block on the right at the first red light..Lots of stuff to look at there. Very friendly staff there. Checkout booth 65 if you go!! There is some "man " stuff there too. There are several more shops in Oxford.

If you are into the blues scene, go to Clarksdale. Lots of stuff there in the downtown area. Morgan Freeman's blues club, Ground Zero, is great. Worth checking out if you like blues music. Also some shopping there.
