Ron, not sure in the Bradford House Motel for business but will check, anyway the no. is 641-435-4669. 10 miles from fairgrounds is the Super 8 there no is 641-228-2888, Sleep Inn no 641-257-6700, Hometown Inn no 641-228-4820, HARTWOOD Inn no 641-228-4352 all in Charles City and17 miles south Americas Best Value no 319-352-5330 or 800-397-5330, Super 8 no 319-352-0888 both in Waverly. there is also camping hookups on the grounds.

Got in from huntin coons were moving good but seems the later the better, should be plenty going on this weekend with Nashua having the Dam Days and if you like fishing the dam is only blocks from the fairgrounds, Trying something new this year Marv Munson lined up Flip Wilson to do the cookin hes supposed to make some really good tenderloins and the weather is also supposed to be good. Hope to see you there!

Just got home after 2 hrs sleep with a bath from big thunderstorm last nite. I won 1st with Scooter/550+, Terry won GRNT with Rex/525+ & dont know NTCH, but think it was Gudgeon cast which gave her Queen & Henry rifle. From Minn & King was Max dog i used to own fron Minn.

Zach won !st reg Fri against me with Halfbred Skinny/575+, Brandon won NTCH/475+ & Lep cur won GRNT. You might want to ask Brandon about Sat cast because it sounded like things got away from him!!!! Take care, Ron.

Things didn't fare well for us once that rain hit. One dog adjusted better than mine did. He had a chance to keep the lead at the end by being split, but a hole in a ditch isn't gonna beat a coon in a tree. His dog did what she needed to do to win, and deserved it. It was a great hunt and great weekend.

Huge thanks to the Shell Rock Club for hosting the event and putting on a great one.

SPECIAL THANKS to Mitch Mueller. Mitch had intentions of hunting Saturday night but sacrificed his hunt to be a non hunting guide when a guide was needed. This breed and world in general need more people like Mitch who are so caring and selfless. Thanks Mitch!!
