what boots are the most durable ?

it just seems i'm hard on boots and the muck boots just don't seem to be holding up for me don't even last a year. what boots do you guys like? I need something durable and comfortable ?

i like grubbs

had mucks.
got grubbs now.more comfortable,better traction,and lighter than muck.

it seems if they can make a car tire that can stand the weather and road and age it seems someone could make a boot that would last a few years.
i wear lacross burly lites. they don't last as long as a boot should in my opinion.

I use lacrosse also get them at rural king 60 dollars they usually last me a couple years coonhunting and rabbitt hunting both in them.

I had some lacrosse a few years back but they sucked.

The Coon Hunter II boots in the Nite Lite catalog were pretty good by they got dried up and cracked after about a year and weren't waterproof anymore.

I got a pair of Schnee's a few years ago and they've held up very well. I think they resole them for free for life. They cost a good bit, but are well worth the extra. Made in USA.

Grubbs hold up as good as any in rough conditions mucks wouldn't last. 6 months where I hunt and they were done and I mean done !! I had just excepted the fact of buying one pair every year one for summer and another heavy pair for fall !! Now I have grubb boots with dans prostar v chaps they are almost a year old and holding up the best !!! Call Bruce Conkey you will be happy happy happy !!

My next pair will be the leather boot with attached chaps . Have heard nothing but good about them . Guy on here said to keep them waterproofed with surfboard wax or bees wax & they won't leak. My hunting buddy has a pair & swears by them. They are a little higher priced but have talked to guys who have been wearing them for 3 yrs . I've been going through 2-3 a year & have tried about every brand there is & gonna try something different !

I have a pair of the carhart logger boots for work and normal wear they are about 16" high they have the logger heal and a composite toe they are also waterproof best pair of boots I've owned a little pricey at 179.99 but man if I could get these without the composite toe and a pair of chaps sowed on man I would be one happy camper definetly something i'm going to look into.

The ones I've checked into are sold by Valley Creek . I looked at them at a hunt a while back ,they were one of the vendors there , good heavy duty leather and heavy duty sole. They were made just like a good pull on work boot with a chap attached. I go to alot of comp hunts in other kc & have been seeing quite a few guys wearing them . I haven't heard a bad report yet ...I think they were $179 but I'm beyond caring about price just want something that will last more than a few months before I tear a hole in them or the sole dissides to start coming loose !
I'm sick of shoe goo , pipe glue or duct tape every 6 months lol. Heck if the leather last a year I'm money ahead.

redneck mafia i had those boots and switched to the grubbs after they wore out. they are a very comfortable boot but i ended up having to oil them every other day to keep from getting wet and they didnt last very long. plus if you get even a dusting of snow you are sliding on your can the whole way down the hill because they dont have good traction.

A guy told me to put surf board wax or bees wax on the every now and then . The one I looked @ resently @ that hunt had a good lug sole on it . I'll check soles before I purchase ...got lots of hills. But a slick sole in snow can't be any worse than tripping on evertthing because the sole of these rubber boots desides to come loose in the woods !

yeah the ones i got from Valley creek had a slick sole on them, no knobs or anything just groves and flat. i used some kind of waterproofer and mink oil. if you decide to go with them i hope your bees wax works for ya.
