Rules

If you show up at a hunt..... And you are the only registered dog there.... Don't they have to let you hunt your did as long as there is a non hunting judge?

I just drove 3 hrs to union sc from lake city sc.. There was 2 nt champions there and my registered dog. The master of hounds told me I couldn't hunt a registered dog without competition.

You need to call UKC on Monday morning and inform then. Not so you can get his add chewed, but so they can educate him on this and make sure it doesnt happen to the next guy.

I know that it's not the way you want to get a 1 st..... I would rather hunt against good dogs.... But, that dude cost my dog a win.... It was also gonna be his first hunt... That sucks!!!!

Well, from what I hear about SC, hunting alone doesn't mean you were gonna get a win but it still sux that you didn't get to hunt.

Un fortunately, we still have have MOH's out there that do not stay on top of the rules, and this is a good example. It is sad, but there are those older ones that will say, "I have been an moh before you were born", and i normally say yes sir and there in lies the problem.

Just maybe, since It's all those OLD MOH's that are too old should have their MOH license revoked at a certain age like say 60 yrs. old and have all the young people take the test and become a MOH.

Maybe all you young wantabee should know the rules The MOH has to have a Rules Book and Coonhound Adviser with him just show him it in the BOOK a lot of MOH didn't get their license until they were 50 to 65 because they were still hunting the hunts.

Jim,
This pup that I was hunting is about 17 months old and a grand pup to Lipper. He don't make as many tees as some if those other genetics that's out there, but when he throws that big locate, most of the time you gonna see a coon. He will finish out easy.
