Grntch Dark Hollow Slam Is Sick

PATRICK INFORMED ME THAT OLE SLAM HAS CANCER.
THE OLE MAN HAS LET TIME CREEP UP ON HIM,BUT WHAT AN ASSET TO OUR BREED,HE HAS BEEN.

I NOTICED IN THIS MNTHS ISSUE OF PROHOUND SLAM IS SECOND TO CANE AS SUPERSTAKE SIRE OF THE YEAR in the BNT,s.

Sure am glad his blood runs thick at BLACK CREEK KENNELS.

WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE DRAMA SHE IS OUTTA GRNTCH TREE SLAMMIN HAMMER ( GRANDSON OF SLAM) X NTCH LUCY ( DAUGHTER OF SLAM AND MOLLY) DRAMA IS SIX MNTHS OLD.
WE ARE LOVING THIS PUP ,ACTION PACKED.

THEN WE HAVE HAMMERS BLACK POWDER YOUNG MALE.
HE IS OUTTA GRNTCH HAMMER X NTCH VERONICA.VERONICA GOES BACK TO CHIGGER AND HAS SOME TIGE BLOOD IN HER.WHICH ALSO GOES BACK TO HOBO HOSS.I THINK TIGE AND SLAM WERE HALF BROTHERS IF IM NOT MISTAKEN.

THEN WE HAVE NTCH LUCY .NEEDS 2 WINS TO GRAND
LUCY IS OUTTA THE FIRST CROSS ON SLAM AND MY MOLLY FEMALE THAT IS DOUBLE ALBERT BRED.

THEN WE HAVE A 17 MNTH OLD MALE NAMED ROWDY THAT IS OUTTA THE SECOND CROSS OF SLAM AND MOLLY.

JUST LIKE TO THANK OLE SLAM AND MY FRIEND PATRICK.
I WILL MAKE SURE THAT OLE SLAMS BLOOD FLOWS THROUGH ME AND BRYONS KENNELS FROM NOW ON AND WITH SOME GOOD LINE BREEDING,WE NEVER PLAN ON LOOSING IT.AS YOU CAN SEE WE GOT PLENTY OF OLE GRNTCH DARK HOLLOW SLAM.
THANK YOU PATRICK AND BRUCE,WE KNOW YALL HATE TO SEE SLAM WEARING DOWN.HE HAS BEEN A FINE HOUND AND REPRODUCER.ONE OF THE BEST.

PATRICK IF YOU SEE THIS I SURE WISH YOU WOULD POST THAT OLE PICTURE WE TOOK 3 YRS AGO OF SLAM ,SLAMMER AND SLAM IN FLORA.HAMMER WAS 12 MNTHS OLD AT THAT TIME.

SLAM A TOP REPRODUCER IN OUR BREED THAT WAS BRED TO EVERY FEMALE THAT PULLED IN PATRICKS DRIVEWAY ,AND HIS PUPS WILL TREE.AND WIN!!!!!

He has lived a good life or so it seems. When My Uncle bought Jay(hoss x jewell) and John Wood bought Silas(Tige son) from Bruce and Slam was still for sale at that time. Jay,Silas,and Slam have all past 10 years old time flies.

I took Slam to have him collected a few years ago and his sperm didn't hold up to the freezing process (it was accredited to his age). There is no frozen Slam anywhere. As far as the SLAM TRAIN, it rolls through Ohio and many other places often! I enjoyed posting about the progress of his offspring and messing with many of his pups. As with most everyother dog, many other folks got tired of hearing about them so I stopped posting.
One thing I noticed lately is the strong presence Dark Hollow blood is still showing in today's dogs , especially at the Natinal level. Slam is just another generation of the legacy. KEEP THE SLAM TRAIN ROLLING ON!

I'm sorry to hear Slam isn't do well. One of the hardest things about coon hunting is seeing those favorite dogs getting old.

Yep Todd those Hoss dogs really made a mark , but also don't forget that bottom side with Ernie and those Ozark dogs. They are up close too. I know where a dog down in southwest Mo is that has those dogs in his pedigree.

.... I'm guessing that's where a lot of the dark color comes from? It's too bad he couldn't be collected..

We will pray for his comfort in his remaining time with you. We lost a bluedawg pet to cancer... it is so hard to lose a good old friend.....

Thanks everyone. Slam is doing well. He turned 12 a couple weeks ago. The Dr. said the tumor was cancer but it hadnt got into the muscle and he got it all. Slam is doing really good for his age.Hope he stays around another couple years.
