Ga. Federation Web Site

Change is in the air, and not the kind that will cost you everything you own, like obama's. Soon our web pages will taken on a much more user friendly atmosphere and Federation business/ information will be easily posted and transmitted out for all to see. You will even be able to comment back, but there is a kicker. You will need to register, just as you do here, but your real name will be required, or your registration will be denied.

We have wanted it, you asked for it, and the way to get is presented itself. Time line to get it up and running? I would say by end of month, and that would be a fairly long time.

questions and comments welcome.

I sent you a messag PLEASE give me a call H L . Now to a lighter side I spoke to our president about the web page and for one I want to thank him for checking into several things. ONE thing I hav been hearing and maybee the BIGEST complain is no comunication between our members, would not this be a way we all could all voice our thoughts?. This looks like a way YOU might be interested in helping out, I know the president is seeking all the help he can muster in making the orginzation better.

Great Idea. Next thing that needs to happen is memberships run 1 yr from date of joining..How many members in the federation now?

Thanks for putting the link up Dawg.

The idea of membership running from join date to join date has been hashed around a good bit over the years at directors meetings and membership meetings. The bookkeeping would be more. Members would have to keep up with membership cards and have them present when entering events. Last year the Hall of Fame hunt was in Dec. and people that joined there were grand fathered into the 2012 year. This year the Hall of Fame has been backed up to Nov., So those that entered at the HoF last year will actually get the benefit of an extra hunt in their years membership. Rock has said he was gona see if the Directors would be willing to let memberships at the Hof and Youth hunts count towards 2013. I think we might better look at a 12 month membership rather then an anual membership.

I always joined at Albany every year and that pretty much made sure I was paid up all year.. Worked for me until now.. I think a rolling 12m membership would be great if its not too much on the book keeper..

Message boards have been operational for one week now and folks are beginning to use them . New registered members are picking up also. You do not have to be a Federation member to register. You do have to use a proper name. We invite all who hunt and support hunting in GA, to come join our site , have fun, and share any information you may have that would be of interest to others.
