It depends on what you want to spend. The best boots for the money are the hunting boots at walmart for about $40 but I don't think they are snakeproof. The best light for the money is a good ole 6 volt spotlight at walmart for $8, and I never have seen a squaller that really worked. If they were going to look they were going to look anyway without the squaller. I know people with $50,000 trucks, $500 hunting lights, and the best money can buy and dogs that cannot even get it done. lol

Irish setter trail phantom boots are very waterproof, light and comfortable but they only lasted me about a year which is fine for how much they got used. They run about $110. You don't want to be marching up a lot of hills wearing muck boots.

Nocturnal Addict makes the brightest light by FAR that i've seen and they are around $250 and worth every penny.
