Muck!

Muck are the best boots I have ever owned.

Lacrosse alphas are more comfortable to me than mucks and seem to be more durable. I had one pair of mucks didn't last half the time of my lacrosse

ive had the same pair of mucks for going on 5 yrs and theyre still good and i hunt hard year round, except when theres a foot of snow on the ground.

Lacrosse boots all the way.

I can't get much more than two years out of Mucks. I wear the heel out first and the sole shortly after. The Lacrosse Alpha'a give me a little more wear. I like a chap that has the metal snaps. I break the plastic type snaps too easy.

Mucks!

Posted by Rip on 02-07-2009 03:09 PM:

I like the MUCK boot for comfort and warmth.

I just got them so this may change, but it seemed the soles were a little hard and made them slick on wet rocks/limbs. Worked great in mud/soft ground cause the cleats got a bite, but seemed like they were hard bottomed enough that the cleats just slide on hard surfaces.

Oh, I never had another pair of boots on my feet as comfortable as the MUCK boot, never.

Yall really wanna make the mucks warm? Get some of those little blue booties..Wear a thin moisture wicking sock. The bootie will wick every bit of moisture away from your foot..Its the only way to go!

Posted by Rip on 02-07-2009 06:13 PM:

It was 24-25 degrees and we were in snow and my feet were TOO warm.

I don't know if they will be fit to use in the spring/summer.

I got the Muck wetland boot on my waders.

My feet sweat in them last night even in the snow.

Without a doubt the warmest rubber boot I ever had on my feet, and I got the one without a big lot of insulation. They are likely gonna be too warm for my taste in the summer, but I wear shorts under my waders in the summer so it might not be that bad.

I can't imagine how warm their "warm" boots are (artic or whatever) they are rated for something like -30 to 60 degrees. A buddy of mine has them for deer huntin and he says even on the stand if it gets much over 40-50 degrees you want to come out of them. If I still deer hunted I would definately get some of those. I will be gettin my dad some though, his feet freeze deer huntin, I doubt that would be possible in those if my experience with the "lightly" insulated ones is any indication.

I was hunting a hardwood ridge last fall in the acorns. And I was walking along and I jabbed a stick right through my lacrosse's. I had just bought them from wicks last spring now they have a big leak. The Froglegs are still in perfect shape.

This my sound crazy but you can J-B weld that cut back and if you do it right they will not leak.
