Autumn Oaks deadline is Friday at Midnight

The Autumn Oaks deadline is Tomorrow night at midnight. 8-12-16. I think you can enter online.
It will be held September 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Curious how many Reds will be hunted this year?

Did y'all enter Jessie and Flow? I was hunting at Autumn Oaks when I drew out with Bailey.

I just saw on the front page where both of the Biggert boys and Jack Bingham have reserved an entry in the Masters Hunt. I guess that there will be 3 Redbones in it.

Jesse will be there going to be handled by a converted black and tan man

From what I have been told, I guess that I am going to have to come up there to get me a new pair of boots. Maybe Rattle, Jessie and Copper will all draw out together. Won't we all have fun.

Best of luck to the Redbones at Autumn Oaks

Best of luck to all the Redbones competing at AO. I'm working too much to get Flow in shape for AO. Maybe next year.

Uh oh, I have heard that before. Usually it means, "I have quit coonhunting but won't admit it". Are y'all going to Tokyo in 2020? It looks like Walsh/Jennings will be retiring.

Oh my goodness, just look at that list of Redbones that are entered in Autumn Oaks Nite Hunt.

It looks like 12 Stud dogs will be competing for Grand National Champion Redbone in just 2 weeks. I wonder which one is the best?

You need to be the best grand overall...not just redbone...we've had this discussion. Wahaa! Good luck.

Why??? I hunt Redbones, not walkers. I just want to have the best Redbone. I could care less what all of those walkerdog guys do.

You've had enough of those titles, time to raise the bar.

Maybe it is time for you to come back down to earth and get your head out of the clouds. I know of only one Redbone that has won overall Grand National Champion at AO. I hunted with her once and I don't have anything to compare with her now. But I do have a couple of pups with her in their pedigree.

Posted by Adam Wingler on 08-22-2016 03:46 PM:

So you're saying it can't happen?

Posted by Richard Lambert on 08-22-2016 03:54 PM:

Have you not seen that list? Just beating those other 15 Redbones is an awfully high bar. It is over my head. I am saying that I don't think that I can do it. I am old, wore out and slow and so is my dog. Danny, John Jr and Jack might have a chance but UKC has been having this hunt for about 55 years and Danny is the only one that has been able to do it. And I can't ever remember beating him before.

I see everything.

Have faith, and good luck, sounds like you think you'll need it. However, personally I think you're sand bagging.

Posted by Richard Lambert on 08-22-2016 05:07 PM:

Let's see if I can cipher this, 264 dogs divided by 4 is 66 casts. And the top 16 scores out of those 66 or 4 casts will get to hunt on Sat night and then the 4 winners will get to hunt for the title of Grand National Champion. What are my odds of winning? Is it one in 264= .038%? I might need a little luck. I did win my cast on Fri night last year but didn't have a Top 16 score. I am not sandbagging. I am just keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground.
